I just Changed my Username and Password.....

Hello Lotters,
Something is seriously wrong with my browser or something. so weird that i felt so nervous that it could lead to hacking my account or messing it if some one else is using my pc.
I know about the automatic log-in. if you set it to that, by the time you enter facebook, you are automatically log in. trouble is that i didn't send it to log in. then, when ever i go to face-book, it is set to that already.
So, with out further complications. i decided to changed both. still when ever i go to facebook, same old username and passwords emerges even i have change it already. but its not a threat now.
Have you had this error problems?

I'm happy for you, my friend! That shows there's a solution in every problem! 
It also happened to me before. And it happened to me when I don't have my own computer and was just renting out in an Internet cafe. Good thing I noticed it immediately. I immediately changed my password, and then I tried to log-in again and before I intentionally typed in wrong password, I checked the "remember me" box first so that the computer will remember the wrong password and not the new one. It worked!

Hello Magtibaygom,
I remember this staff from a Pharmacy. probably she was with me on a internet cafe. when i was mylotting i noticed she can't get inside face-book. i taught her every thing that can helped her restore her account and get a new password. but when i checked her typing the password was 1-6 numbers. i told her, no wonder you're account might have been hacked.

What?? She was using 1 2 3 4 5 6 as her password? Oh my... Poor girl, maybe she's not that knowledgeable about computers and the Internet, and the security threats online. You know, the pharmacy staff might have been educated about medical things, but lacks education with regard to computers and the Internet.

Well, I hate being hacked, especially like facebook, we've always used it for many personal information. I haven't encounter the error you had, but I did encounter someone was sending spam messages to all my friends on behalf of me.
Do you mean you are still using the same account, but change username? Can we just change our username?

No I have not face any problem related to my username and passwords on many accounts on internet. But sometimes I change my passwords because I want to give security every time to my mail accounts so I always change my passwords on every 2-3 months once.

that reminds me, I haven't changed my password in my accounts since i register. but who cares? am not popular who would know anyways.
but i guess i should start consider changing email passwords, i don't want my email getting into so much troubles. too bad for them my contacts aren't new and updated.

but i am using Linux, how can i ever download it? do you think there are other versions. well, i have changed so there's no problem unless the new email address and password is saved on the browser again. probably i wouldn't want that to happen@ybong007 (6643)

I think autosave is not a threat if it's your own PC or laptop since everything is just saved on your PC. Having it means it is easier to login without the hassle of typing your user name and password. I'm not really familiar if it's possible to download ccleaner on a linux software the best way to find out is to go to their website and download the software.

I have not so active on FB all this year, but I do know about so many getting so many viruses and weird events up in facebook. It is a very scary ground with facebook hackers. Thanks for posting this discussion

I think it has something to do with my PC or the browser itself. well, it's changed now, and still my former email address and password still pops up when ever i go to face book. maybe it's safer if you changed password within every single month. i am not worry now since no one knows the new email and password

this is the case that you have saved the password in the browser and so it tries to login automatically when you opens the facebook.
these things are to be set only if you use your computer for your own purpose i.e. you are not using a shared computer.
if you came across a solution please let me know....

In the Browser? I never have done that before, maybe i did and i was not aware. but the solution i have come up with was changed the email address and the password. so far i haven't come up on a solution that yet. by the way, the problem had been bugging me for weeks now, so i decided to change it.

Yes the auto login can do wonders for us on a website but remember to log out when visitors visit your home otherwise they might have access to your facebook account.I use auto login for my favorite sites.I do not use it for social networking sites because my family uses it.If we change the password often we are safe from hackers and keyloggers.

hi letran I have no problem signing on to face book as it has been set to log me in with username and password. but I just don't have the
time much to fool around in Facebook as I am so busy on Mylot
trying to catch up from last week being off three days due to
computer failure. but I am up and running again with an new
internet card on my motherboard.

Well,i don't have any trouble with Facebook,and i hope not to have one either.
I like that site same with mylot.
I usually open both sites together,chatting with friends in facebook and replying discussion here in mylot.

I have only one chatter recently, but few days later my friends started popping out and chatting with me instead.it's nice to have people chatting with me after years of absences.but with chatting with facebook i am distracted from mylot. i didn't tell her that. yeah, it's fine now

Well maybe you need to delete cookies and clean the cache of your browser, Try scanning your computer too for possible virus or spyware/malware attack.
Don't panic, it will take a lot of patience to solve it. After you have cleaned your browser and scanned your computer, reboot.
If everything fails, contact FB administrator.

I am not using Windows OS but Linux. i guess i should have mentioned this in my discussion since the beginning. i kept sending reports to the admin,but they don't have action. therefore, i decided to just change the password and email address. thanks for you're concern. have a great day

I have a FB account, but i am not too much active there, i have many friends, the reason is when ever there is 'add' request i add blindly; but i know some of them well in due course, some chat with me via yahoo messenger ..
I have not changed my pass word etc, you may add me as friend..

sorry for it^^ it happened to me one day that was hard to enter in facebook but then i put right password ahah^^ just other day i was angry bcs in msn they obligated me to change my password that i had since years i dont know why they wanted me to change it bcs we should be free to choose whatever we want. they didnt let me even put the same when i tried ahah^^ so really had to change it even i didnt want to or couldnt enter in my email :)

Hello there,
Well, there must be a reason why they wanted you to change their password. as for my old email accounts, i deleted some of them. and some i couldn't register anymore. if you didn't changed probably others could have just hacked it. not to mention you got friends, but dangers can be some could be hackers.
