hello friends. :)
Me and my friends recently visited airport. And fortunately we can able to see plane from very near. After watching plane he just told me that they aren't that big.. .. I guess he is expecting more bigger size of planes.. Actually it was my first time too.. As i never done air traveling.
I had to told him that it is quite big enough to take around 150 passengers.. ( its mine guess ).. So its quite bigger then normal transportation.. But he can go for jumbo planes as i have listen that it having capacity of 900 passengers.. .. Is this true ?? It must be huge then.. Whats your though on it ??

Well there is the Airbus A380, the largest passenger plane in the world which carries a maximum of 650 passengers. They have future plans though for a newer airbus which would be created for all economical purposes carrying a maximum of 900 passengers but that hasn't been made yet. If your friend thinks planes aren't that big maybe he should consider looking up the AN-225, the largest plane in the world. It isn't a passenger plane though so you most likely won't see one at an airport.

The AN225 frequently goes to Manchester airport. Go to youtube and watch it. It's fantastic!

Ir depends. If you are doing oceanic travel or travel across the continent, you need those 900 passenger planes. If you are going from one province to another or in your case from one state or another, you may get on one of those dinky planes that hold 150 or less passengers.
And I can tell you, that is not that good. For instance, you may have to walk out in the air field to go on them instead of them pulling the loading enclosure to the airport. Now if it is a nice sunny day, it is all right to walk out to the plane, but if it is snowing, blizzardy, ice on the ground or raining cats and dogs not that pleasant. So your friend had a reason for wanting a bigger plane.
Besides it would have a bigger kitchen in it. I really do not like the idea of only getting peanuts, chocolate bars and a drink myself. I would rather get a decent meal.

Ha ha then surely everybody will choose big planes.. Who can leave better meals during traveling..
Well I guess we can do oceanic travel from that 150 passengers planes too.. They are quite big too.. I guess jumbo planes with 900 capacity are more bigger then normal ones.. planes with 150 capacity are normal i guess.. thats what i guess.. i am not having any experience..

I think the capacity is not just the size of the plane, but also the amount it can carry. So now that they are putting more seats in a plane, three instead of two, to save money, This means that a large plane would be more comfortable even when it goes from 600 to 900 then a smaller plane that changes from 100 to 150 since it has less move to maneuver.

Yeah, these planes aren't bigger..
We might imagine, that these are very huge, but the real fact would be different.
I used to imagine in my childhood that planes are very huge like they could cover the entire city's landscape..
But after getting influential with the Hollywood films i got the original idea of them ..
I see planes more often....

Woohoo! I love planes! Anything about planes makes me DROOL!!! Ok, the thing is this. If you're on an ocean-continent spanning trip, then the plane that would take you would be those gigantic jumbo 500 seat airliner. Jets like the Boeing 747 and the Airbus A380. Especially long haul routes like from, Singapore to Los Angeles so on and so forth. Well, if you're saying smaller jets, those are used for shorter flights like from region to region or from your own country to a neighbouring country. Jets like the Airbus A330, the Boeing 737, Bombardier CRJ900 etc. Personally, I love the 500-800 seat A380. It's a beautiful masterpiece. All I can say that is, it's simply a legend in aviation history.

Well I have traveled by flight many times.Honestly I never was very much interested in knowing how many people can travel at the same time. But at least I'll tell you these there were very few people travelling compared to 900.So it wasn't the plane your talking about. And the plane you talked about might be international.
Have a nice day and hope your dream of flying succeed!! :)

I guess size is relative. There are some really big planes that take only 2-3 passengers and some really small planes that take many passengers.
At one time a lot of the airlines were boasting about the business class with extra leg room as well as allowing to sleep flat. Then there are others that squeeze everybody together like sardines in a can.
Personally, I prefer big planes - you don't feel the pressure changes as much.
