Referrals

What is this whole thing about referrals? I don't get the point of the whole referral thing. Someone Please Help Me.

In a lot of programs you earn quicker if you have a lot of active referrals, people that sign under you. There's a big fuss about it since people have big problems (not me )getting them. Is your questions answered to your likings this way?
