Choose: Girl/Boy over Family?

I always felt like your family, especially your siblings, should always have your back and support you. However, what if you fell in love with the girl/guy your brother/sister was in love with? What would you do? Do you forget your "love" because you don't want to hurt your brother/sister? Or do you go follow "all's fair in love and war" philosophy?

If i am in love them i am not going to forget about it because of a family member. They should always be by my side at all times. Never should a family member choose who you should like or not because life is just not like that.

It all depends on how your sibling feels. If it is true love and you have a good family then they should be accepting, but that's a rough line to cross. Also siblings have a certain healthy and even unhealthy competition/comparison thing going on as it is. Adding an ex lover can be really hard mentally. Won't you always wonder how you compare as a lover, whether it's better?
