Went to the doctors today, everything good, but they gave me a web log in and password to be able to view my medical records online. At first I thought it was great. I have two daughters and we moved a couple of times before getting our house and settling down so it was a pain because the doctors would loose charts and shot records, so on and so forth. So when they told me that my records from this office were all on line and could be accessed anywhere, anytime, even by a hospital if needed, then I thought that was just fantastic. Until I got home. When i got home and was explaining it to my husband he began flying off with conspiracy theories about the government health care system. I don't argue with him, I just file it away mentally and go about my day. But he hit on one thing that really did kind of bother me and that are hackers getting a person's medical history and stealing their medical history to be able to get prescriptions illegally or something. then there's the whole unscrupulous people who bill your insurance for false claims. What would happen if someone hacked the system and got your information Would you feel comfortable having your personal medical history on the web?
