i have 1 sister and am thankful that i have one..she's a dear friend...and i would agree with you that being a daughter would be lonely, though you may get to get most of the things you like..but having someone you can talk to and share your secrets..that's another thing...

If you're the only daughter but you have brothers, it's not so lonely. You'll feel extra love and care from them, being the only sister. If you're the only child, it maybe lonely sometimes but all the love and attention are being given to you by your parents so you should be happy.

Being an only child can be lonely, but i did notice when i was at school years ago most children and teenagers that were only children tended to go out with their friends more or invite them around to their house so they had something to do. As you get older i'm sure its harder though because theres no-one to grow up and talk to with that arn't your friends and become an auntie or uncle is going to be from the in laws obviously. On the plus side theres no one to fight with at home when you are younger.

Well, I'm the 9th of 11 children. I have 7 sisters and 3 brothers, so I'm never lonely.

Being an only daughter or even being an only child has its benefits because will be the center of attention in the family. Everything you want will be given to you without anyone to share it with.

I'm an only daughter but not an only child. It's not really lonely because I have funny brothers who don't really treat me as 'different' from them in their games. Hehehe.. It's still fun. Similarly I do have cousins who are also girls.

I guess if you were the only child, it could be pretty lonely. I'm an only daughter but I have two brothers. The first I grew up with - hence had the most fights with, and the other came a lot later when I was about 10 so, I babysat him. There are unbelievably bad days when you want to just kill them, but most days are good. I'll definitely never trade my brothers for anyone or anything in the world! (Love 'em to pieces!)

This kind of situation is very common. The only daughter is lonely indeed. The best situation is that you have two children. They have the partner to play with. And they can lead a better happy life.

I am the only daughter but it's not lonely. I have lots of fun from it, being lucky to have two brother who made me cool sister. Yes, there is time I am thinking and wanting to have a sister but then it's God's will and I thank it.

my wife is the only daughter to her parent.she have 5 brothers.she said when she was a little girl she never felt alone, she had her brothers to play and quarrel too but when she grew up as a teenager she felt a bit lonely.it is because she cannot play with his brother like she was a little girl, she cannot share the girl stuff story or sharing girl problems.now she had 2 daughters and a boy.
