One Religion Holds True?? Then Who Created Us All so Different????

So here's my dilemma... Many people and many religions strictly believe that there is only one road to God. Christians, for example, believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to God. Muslims, however, believe that Allah is the path. All other major religions have their own path as well. So if the way to God, is say, Christianity through Jesus, and it is said that God created all humans on earth, then why would he bring a child into the world in India, for example, where he would never know of Christianity and thus never follow Jesus Christ in faith? Is it the child's fault that he was never exposed to Christianity? The same holds for any other religion. A child born in Africa may never have the opportunity to be exposed to Judaism, or even ever hear of it. A child born in native Mexico may never learn or hear of Hinduism. I can go on and on and on... What does this mean for salvation after death? Perhaps there's more than one path to God? Or perhaps there's more to the picture than we will ever know?

I don't know the answer to your question. As a Christian I believe that Jesus is my savior and so I pray to God and Jesus and I hope to get into heaven. But what about the rest of the world? They believe the same thing about their religion too, don't they? It's a real mystery so I say this. Whatever your religion, as long as it promotes love, wisdom charity and so on (all of the good), and it doesn't promote any of the bad, you should follow it and study the good book of that religion, and live your life as holy as you can, you should be alright. I can't see a person going to hell for picking (or being born into) the wrong religion.

"one religion holds true" is NOT accurate IMO....ALL religions are true...and ALL religions basically have the same core goal IMO..as for different Gods etc...Well why are there different languages? Why doesnt everyone in the world speak the same language?

Hi jp, This is why I no longer agree with organized religion. Christians believe only what's in the Bible, Muslims believe the Qur'an etc, and all of this because they have been indoctrinated since children. If people were given the opportunity to hear about religion and decide for themselves as adults, most Christian churches would be closed today. Someday such indoctrination will be seen as the child abuse that it really is. You are right on both counts, there are many paths to God and there is far more to the picture than we will ever know here. Blessings.

Yes, you made it clear. THINKING does bring much better results!!! It's never been about people, religion, then God. It's about God and His children. With the diversity of God's children, there will be many views. The mosaic will make the MASTERPIECE. Our interaction will join the pieces together. The glue will be our love, kindness, and understanding of each other for we are all special. The picture would be very plain if all the pieces were the same.

jp there is not one road that would lead to your destination. There are so many. Only difference is some would take your through difficult terrain and some path would be easier. Some routes are longer and some are shorter. God has given us all a free will. We make a choice according to our own liking. God does not interfere with our choices. He only sees who would win the race. Them he would reward.
