What would you rather have: a job that you love waking up to and actually look forward to going to everyday but pays really really low, or a job you absolutely hate, and dread to even talk about after a whole days worth of work but pays really really well? I've actually been in both situations and I could honestly say that it's not an easy choice. You really have to compromise most of the time. So hypothetically, if it were all black and white... no grey areas... what would you guys rather have? I'd probably go for the latter. Swallow my pride and work... work... work... for a decent living. :(

Definately the first one I think. I'm currently working as an IT Systems Technician, which doesn't pay well, but I was enjoying it... till everything changed. Now I'm packing that job in and starting up on my own. I've always been told it's best to go for a job you love, not one you'll hate, because you need to make life as good as you possibly can, and money doesn't make happiness (to an extent).

We had the same predicament dude. I had a job that I really loved, but something changed in the working environment and I just had to leave. I'm thinking about putting up a small business as well... nothing major, just something that would help pay the bills... and support my musician lifestyle. hehehehe. One more factor which kinda causes a paradigm shift is when you decide to start a family. I just recently got married... and I'm seriously thinking about starting a family soon --- I'm not getting any younger hehehe. So I have to include them in my decision making. I just can't decide to get a job I love but doesn't pay that well. It's a tough decision --- but in the end family comes first eh? :)

True. :) I wish it were that easy though. Sadly, sometimes you really have to compromise. But I think as long as you have your heart in the right place and you know you're doing it for the right reasons, everything eventually falls in to place. :)

i will go for a job that i love. i had a work last week but i decided to resign. i love the work but i didnt like the environment because it was so unproductive and i dont find that healthy and helpful for me. i agree it is not an easy choice.
