To fully understand yourself, you must first understand the people who created your mind. Your parents. As they are the ones who were largely responsible for shaping the beliefs and behaviors you have today. Well in other words, by studying the minds of your parents, you can study your own.
So, take the time to study or think about your parents personality characteristics. Then see if any of those characteristic were passed onto you. One you have done this, you must then ask yourself if you want to keep these characteristic or change them.

Of course they are our parents, I agree that most of our behavior are inherited from them. But it doesn't mean that we will keep those bad characteristic I we know to our self that it is not worth keeping. They are our parents but it doesn't mean that we will always follow what they believed, they are just human being prone to make mistakes.

very well said. true in some way. everything affects everything is what i say, everything that happens in our life is a factor in what/who we become.
