Today, I give the best responses to all my unresolved discussion.

It all depends really most times I wait a few months, because nothing is worse then giving a best response to a mediocre comment when you just might have a better response coming if people would wait more then an hour before giving best responses, I have seen this done before...

Obviously you deserve a whole hearted greetings because you earned a best response. For me I start a topic rarely. So, this question does not arise in my case. But I take my time to read replies and finally vote for the best response.

I am somewhere in between. I say I like to wait about two weeks. I have some that have been waiting a lot longer than that, though. I think I will get them done soon. I have a lot of online stuff that I am involved in and so I forget sometimes. Good for you that you have gotten caught up. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

hi torchablazed I found out as a newby that giving the brdst response to soon made a lot of people bypass my discussions so I wait at least a week before giving the best response as that gives all my friends and allother mylotters time to find my discussion read it and respond if they wish too.I am behind in doing my best responses to so will have to take some time out to do that very soon,.

Wow, its been a while since I last saw that. Well actually, I think I had one a week or so ago.LOL Those kinds of notifications in my mail have been quite rare but each and everyone of those is deeply appreciated. When I make the discussions, I would award the best response to the first one which I think covers good points of what I was asking about. If I feel that I still need something more, I wait for a period of time before reading through everything again and making my choice. However, sometimes one discussion has a lot of excellent answers that its hard to choose just one to award. If that's the case, I just dont award the BR, with a little comment to the responses saying they made me think hard. Rule of thumb is: if there's a clear choice, then give the award to the deserving one. If many deserves the award, just give everyone a + rating.

I usually forget about this aspect of starting discussions and leave it to worry about later. Now I probably have hundreds of discussions with no best responses, but that's a good idea.. Maybe I'll do a couple of mine today, too! (Not all, of course, I would have to be on a computer for like 30 hours straight for that). lol.

I dont rarely go through my old discussions and do anything more then leave people replies to the comments they have left me. I always forget to pick a best response. I worry about leaving a best response and then having someone else leave a better one and then wishing I could take that best response back and give it to someone else. I think I will go through maybe 5 of my old discussions right now and leave a best response just since you brought up the idea and I dont have to much to do. It will make someone feel good that they were chosen for the best response. I get a lot of them lately :)

It is very nice to get best responses, i think. I usually give mine when i'm not receiving anymore responses to thye discussion. Happy weekend to u.
