Now that the Commonwealth Games are over, a section of the media has relaunched the attack on the alleged misuse of funds by the organising committee. There are indications that the government will taken the investigations to its logical end. Corruption is hard to root out completely. This is not the first case of misappropriation of public money. It is certainly not the last. But the guilty should be handed out exemplary punishment without exception.
