small business

I just started a small business awhile ago and need to know how to go about and promote it so others will look at the site. I have flyers out, myspace,word of mouth and is going to put it in the advertising pamplet. Is there any other way to do this? I need to get it up and running and I dont know what else to do? Also, I work from home so I was told I can't hire anyone to help until I move the business into a building other than my home. Is this true? My credit isn't good, so is there a place out there that will still do a small loan to help move this out of the home and into a place so I can hire people? I want to help with jobs and help in other ways, but it is hard if I can't even help myself getting it out there. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
