Some see the opposite of love is hate but I think it may be indifference. When one hates one at least acknowledges the person. But with Indifference you don't care, The person ceases to exist. So what is your view , which is worse, to hate or to be indifferent?

i agree with you^^ indifference is worse is like the person doesnt exist. you will feel worse if that person ignores you. if hates you is bcs loved you before and still notices you. but if you are indifferent is bcs the person doesnt care at all about you. i had that before when a guy i loved that was my best friend cared for me and then started to act like that i fell too bad and cried much. is a horrible feeling trust me with hate at least you know that the person cared at least once.

Yes! To go from I like you or Even I love you to who Are you again? Do I know you? That would hurt worse than hearing I Hate you.

They are both bad, but when somebody acts with hatred, you can fight back and get a reaction, which is a lot more satisfying than indifference, where you may get nothing at all. Getting nothing at all can be very frustrating.

Exactly, no reaction can anger you more!

This is a very thought-provoking topic! The more I think about it the more I think indifference is worse than hate. I think, at least in some cases, it's true there's a fine line between love and hate. I don't mean it in the way that you hate someone because deep down you love them but that they're both powerful emotions. Indifference is the lack of emotion, the lack of anything regarding that person. If someone is hated and they'd like to change that, there's usually some chance they could do so. When someone basically doesn't exist, that's a whole different story. Annie

Until you pointed it out.....well I guess I never thought of it one way or the other...I am like the rest.....love and hate seem to go hand in hand....indifference might be worse...painful for someone who still has feelings or emotions about someone they once loved...

I think there are instances where the line between love and hate is just a thin line. This makes it better than indifference where I think views could be miles apart. And yes, there is that aspect of acknowledging something you hate, while indifference is as if it's nothing at all.

Well, according to me indifference is worst as you hate a person because of any reason but the indifference exists without any reason and i hate those people who diffence between other people and avoid them. Harry , :-)
