The dream wedding that I never ever imagined would ever happen to us...

What would be your dream wedding? Like any couple me and my wife also wanted a romantic wedding --- a garden wedding, wedding by the beach, etc. Guess what we ended up doing? Yup, we held our reception at McDonald's... a kiddie party reception. :p ...and we had the time of our lives. We had so much fun, and I believe our guests had as much fun as we did. Some people think we did it to cut our expenses. Although we did manage to save a lot, that actually wasn't the case. I first met my wife at a McD. And our wedding date falls on our 7th year together. So holding a kiddie party (as if it was our 7th bithday) at a McDonalds would be perfect! Of course we still had a normal church wedding, only the reception was held at McDonalds. It was a dream come true --- albeit a dream I never even imagined would ever happen. How about you guys? What would be your dream wedding? :)

My dream wedding would be set in a church, everything would be white.Even my husband to be's tux.I would wear a flowing white dress. My whole family would be there.Because that part would be part of my dream wedding is because not everyone in my family can always make it to our family get togethers. But that aside,my dream wedding would be like those you see on the movies.White doves, ice swans, etc. That sounds like a pretty good wedding to me though.I wouldnt mind having one like that.

I'm sure you'd get that dream wedding sometime. And when that time comes, you'll be the happiest bride ever. :) And you're right, as long as you have people you have around you on the most special day of your lives, that in itself is a dream come true. :)

See my husband and I had a shotgun wedding at the courthouse 3 years ago. But when we get on our feet a little bit more we are going to have a real wedding. I like to be different. And because my husband and I shared our first kiss at a park, I would like to have a small fall wedding outside at a park. :) I just want close family and friends. Nothing too big. I also have happen to come across my wedding gown. :) I like to be different and when I ask people how the bride looked I always get the same answer. "She had a beautiful white dress". The dress that I have put up is strapless and flairs at the hips. It is black and has a cut going down the bottom/side that has white mesh in it. I want people to remember how I looked. Also, I want people to know that my husband and I are different. He is much older than me and we are complete opposites. I think what you did was very sweet and unique. :)

Thank you! :) Oh and I like your ideas. I'm sure your future wedding will be super unique. :) And yes, I agree with you on inviting only your closest family members and friends. That's what I did. You don't really need to invite the whole neighborhood. LOL :p It makes the celebrationg more intimate and in the end more meaningful. Go wild on that dress dude, it's you're wedding so wear whatever you feel like wearing. :) ...we both wore Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers on our wedding day. :)

That's actually really sweet and cute. I like that idea.
My dream wedding would have the ceremony outside and the reception would be like a casino hall (Monte Carlo style) because my first official date with my boyfriend was at a casino and we got really lucky that day.
However, I guess if we did a wedding that was like yours (a reception that really reflected our history) the reception would probably be held at our high school where me and my boyfriend first met.

That's also a very cool idea! A casino wedding. :) That's quite unique :) Looks like you two were meant to be together if it was your lucky day at that casino. :)

What an original idea! I am currently planning my own wedding and I really have no idea of what to do... but hopefully I'll think of something.
I am glad you got such a lovely wedding that really fit you guys, that is the most important thing after all!

Thank you :) Sit down with your partner and talk about it. That's how we eventually came up with the idea to hold it at a McDonalds. If for some reason you can't get too adventurous... you could at least customize your cake to incorporate stuff you're both fond off. :) In our case... we had the cake look like a Big Mac with me sitting on top of the burger and my wife serenading me --- a simple twist. hehehehe :p

That's quite a unique wedding you had there, and the fact everyone enjoyed it just goes to show, you don't need to have big and fancy, expensive weddings, especially seen as the main part of it is getting married and showing everybody your strong bond of love, and doing that for her must have felt amazing.
My girlfriend and I have talked about ours, planning to have it in a typical church, but with a twist. Most people will be dressed in black (don't worry, nobody's dying) and gothic clothes, with 'Miss Murder' by AFI playing as we walk in and down the hall.
That song was the first song we both liked equally, and would be perfect I think.
She also wants to follow that up with my band playing songs during the night, which i'm not going to argue with!
Glad you had a very happy wedding, and I hope the years to come are equally as happy!

Thanks man! I remember this one wedding I saw a few years back... well actually I just saw the images posted on facebook. hehehe They had a Star Wars wedding. I think the groom and bride were total Star Wars fans... they all wore Jedi garb and their entourage were all Storm Troopers. Totally wild dude! That's one tale to tell the grandkids. hehehe.
