I have been teaching myself guitar for about over a year and half and have been making progress. However, I would like to learn some music theory (you know, how everything fits together in the world of music and makes sense??). I know chords, some keys, can find/read notes, and some other stuff but don't really know where else to start...
Help and advice would be greatly appreciated!! :)

Start learning about chord progressions. For example, this chord is best followed by this chord and ends on this chord. Songs are made out of chord progressions, and by knowing the theory behind it, you can have an easy time writing your own songs. You can start by searching for the chord chart/map. It details out what chord goes into what. I'll give some examples of chord progressions.

So, have you made your own song? Can you share some? I also would like to create my own song because my passion and love for songs is very strong.
