Because I experienced that when I am on dieting, I skip 2 meals then after that I've ate too much. Do you guess what happened after that? My tummy is aching all over and over and I can't sleep because of my tummy. I want to share it with you that skipping of meals is is not good to our health.

Hello memacapanasD . it is better to eat meal on time than to skip meals because there are chances that you get illness and eager to eat plenty of foods because you are very hungry. it is bad way to skip meals and there are plenty of negative result.

Yes, i have experienced it. Before i don't eat breakfast until one day i suffered from stomach ache and it was really painful and the doctor told me it gastritis, he told me to eat on time and eat regularly, i just ignored what the doctor advised me then it happened again, then this time the doctor advised me to undergo endoscopy and the result was my stomach had a small hole in my intestine had to drinks a lot of medicine and that if i continue to skip meals and if within 3 months the hole will not respond to the medicine i will have to undergo surgery. Now i eat on time and if possible i don't skip meals. So skipping meals is really not good to our health.

When I was in my College days, when I have a 7 am class schedule, I used to skip my breakfast because I need to rush going to school. By then, I have to take my breakfast after my 7 am class which is after an hour or two. Then, i have a wrong perception on losing weight by not eating. That was a myth/ After skipping meals, I have the tendency to eat plenty when I am hungry. That was an abnormal eating disorder. That caused me to establish gastritis. Since, then, I needed to take complete meals.

Yeah, that's correct maeann. If we skip meals in order us to lose weight we are wrong why? because it has a great tendency to eat more in our ordinary eating because we are hunggier that time so our mind think to eat plenty to satisfied us and make us felt full. its not a right balanced diet and it cause illness to us. our head is aching if we skip meals.

No, I haven't done that before.
Actually, I don't like the feeling of hungry, so each time I'm a little bit hungry, I would like to have meals.
Sometimes I don't have meals on time, then I'm not that energetic and cannot focus on my work... That's pretty bad for me.

Yeah that's really true banban. when you are working you need to eat exactly the meals so that you can focused to your work. because I experienced to skip meals during my college days and it is our final exam. Because of that It takes me more than an hour to answer the questions because I can't focus. My mind distract with my rambling tummy so now I never skip meals .

In what way you didn't felt ill in that kind of meals you have? you eat only in breakfast? Oh My God. Doormouse, you should consult the doctor because we cannot sure if what is really wrong in your stomach. its not right to eat only one meal and then you felt hungry during night time.its not good.

Skipping meals is bad for your health for a lot of reasons but one of the main reasons is because of the way it affects your metabolism. A lot of people think they will lose weight by skipping meals but doing that lowers the metabolism. The body needs fuel (food) regularly to make all of the systems work properly. Without the fuel, the organs cannot function correctly.
Eating 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day will keep your metabolism up and your organs can do the jobs they're meant to do. Eating just one meal actually overloads your body, giving the organs more to do than they can handle.
A light breakfast, even if it's just coffee and toast, will jump start the metabolism and get the organs working. Light snacks are good at keeping everything at an even level through the day. It's easier to lose fat by building a bit of muscle and the muscles turn to mush if they're not fed.

Yes, star. Our body needs food and we need to take care of ourself in order to have a good health. If we want to lose weight , it is not recommended to skip meals because the more we skip meals the more we gain weight and have illness like an ulcer.

Hi careguarden~ You are right that skipping meals is not good for
you and not recommended. But, I don't eat breakfast (am not up
that early) and very rarely eat lunch unless I'm out and about!
I also eat dinner at a very late hour! I do everything wrong and
backwards and I know I shouldn't, but I have gotten myself into
some very bad habits since I haven't been working~

Yes, I remember a time in my life when I refused to eat lunch at school. That was a terrible mistake, and I suffer the consequences today. For two or three years, I starved myself, and when I came home every afternoon, I stuffed myself. This was a bad practice for the stomach, and gave me problems that I am trying to correct now.

No, I never did that. I try not to skip meals on purpose since I figure it can't be good for you. I always assumed you would just eat the same amount in the end anyway, since it is very easy to eat more when you are hungry.
So if you are serious about your diet and want to see results, you should stop skipping meals. Try to eat a more balanced diet instead!

Yes puccagirl. that's what on my mind. skipping meals is not good for the dieters because we aim to lose weight but if we skip meals we gained weight. that's the disadvantages of skipping meals and you can get ulcer from skipping meals because your always felt stomach ache.
