Friends, while crossing streets or walking on to sideways, do you look both sides? Many never look and get dashed by bikes or high speed vehicles. As I have diabetic foot and burning sensation on soles of feet, I walk slowly and am extra careful while crossing streets or going to sideways. Usually my son is with me to hold my hands, in case I need, and most of the time I need lol. There is nothing wrong in it, I am not as bold as before, getting older and feeling weak day by day. Any food for me to revive my lost strength? Professor

Hello Professor.Long time no see. This is williamjisir, your old friend. I am wondering how you have been all these years in my absence from mylot. I look both sides while crossing the street because those vechicles run too fast and it is very dangerous walking across the street. Every day when we walk on the street, we have to be careful. I am sad to say that my father was hit by a motorbike when he was walking on one side of the street. My father was hit by a drunk driver and we lost him, leaving us family members so sad...

I once read that working out with weights had benefits for people as late as in their 80's, so maybe that will help.

hi professor I am older yet than you and I have found its not being weak to need or ask for help. I have been in a few situations lately where people asked me are you okay or can I help and I have finally said, yes please as I just need a hand to steady til I climb up over this curb.See I have this silly fear of falling that came when three years ago I tripped over something and fell hard onto my left shoulder on the sidewalk. the cement was even harder than my shoulder bones. I literally smashed them so the shoulder was fractured but could not be set, I had to have a shoulder joint replacement instead. So I am sort of a bionic woman. lol.Professor I find since I started to taking multivitamins for eyes I have felt much stronger. Also a litle more protein helps me too.

I do look left and right while crossing the street. Everyone should, there are millions of driver who do not consider even if there is someone crossing the street. They will just drive fast and hardly stop.

definitely you should look on both sides.. its an instinct of youre survival on streets most especially with your condition. a healthy diet will do.. but in your condition low salt and low potassium food as well as no sweets and more protein instead!

I might be a little younger than you but I am starting to feel the aches in my body. Someone recommended me to take lemonade diet. I have just started on this diet and I feel a lot lighter and less pain now. It is not only for those overweight but also recommended for those who has acute and chronic conditions.

hello professor, i always do look on both sides before crossing the street. it is safer that way. the streets of today are so busy that it seems the drivers are not so cautious on people they see hence accidents happen. a balanced diet is important for diabetics. it includes a variety of foods: carbohydrates (starches), fruits, vegetables, milk and dairy, meat, poultry, fish, and healthy fats.Balanced diet will keep your glucose within target levels, control your weight, and reduce the risk of complications. and what to eat will depend on how active you are, your gender and your weight. i would suggest that you eat fiber-rich food. add nutrient rich food and beverages in your basic diet. physical activity is needed to manage proper body weight. always take care. ann
