How do people deal with anxiety in everyday life? I have found it very problematic in the past. Some people advocate benzodiazepine "chill pills" which are highly addictive... should I be taking these?

Anxiety isn't something that is pleasant to deal with. I do have some anxiety issues and it's not something that I like. It can be somewhat problematic at times. Although, it doesn't seem to be as bad as it was.

Anxiety can put you through so many levels of emotion. It can not be good for your state of mind to let anxiety take control of you. you have to find good ways to release your anxieties.

I have suffered badly in the past and still do to a certain extent with anxiety and depression. I was put on medication from the doctor - I am on Citalopram, which I haven't found at all addictive. In fact I did want to stop but my doctor just recommended dropping the dosage. I think that it is important to listen to your doctor and take his/her advice. When I asked to be taken off them as I didn't want to get too used to ,them my doctor's advise was that I shouldn't worry about taking them and used the example of someone suffering from Diabetes - he said they don't stop taking insulin because they are 'getting used to it', if you need medication you should take it, and so I do!!
