It is sad that this movie suffered at box office.
This is clearly one of Disney's best. It's all originality, not adaptated from anything. It's heartwarming, you cry, laugh...
And the creators went on to make How To Train Your Dragon. I am glad they are receiving more recognition, they really earn it.

Lilo and Stitch did bad in the box office? Whaaaat? *goes to box office mojo* Production budget: $80 Million. Worldwide gross: $273 Million. Total Profit: $193 Million. That sounds pretty good to me. You know, if it wasn't successful then they wouldn't have made two sequels and a TV series. When it first came out I was in middle school, I think. It was all the rage among the 12-14 year olds... and I know the kids loved it too.
By the way, How to Train Your Dragon is based on a book so if we're going to compare creativity points... lol. It really doesn't matter. They're both great films.

It is a great movie. I haven't read the book yet, but I'm a major bookworm so I probably will sometime.

I really love this movie!!! For me stitch is really cute and he is now my favorite cartoon character. My friends bought me a stitch stuff toy as a gift for my birthday six years ago and its still with me. And now, my son is the one playing with the stuff toy, it's beside him when he goes to sleep. I ask him to choose other stuff toys but he still chose stitch ;)
