Life has a lot of decision-making situations. And it seems so hard to choose whatever path we would like to take. Well, I have already surpassed many of these situations but I know that there are still so many things that I have to face. Way back when I graduated from high school, I was so undecided about what profession I would really want to pursue until I have fully made up my mind to take up nursing course. It was a make or break decision because it wasn't really my first choice. he only reason why I chose to be a nurse was the scholarship being offered by a prestigious nursing school in our place. I was blinded by that scholarship since my father was not capable enough to provide me good and quality education. But then again, I have no regrets at all. I am happy of what I have already achieved. I am so proud to be a registered nurse and it really means a lot to me. But it's been 2 years after I became a registered nurse. Until now, I am not yet practicing my profession. I don't exactly understand what kind or work I would like to have. I tried to work in some areas that are very far from my chosen profession but I ended up resigning. I couldn't really find happiness with my previous jobs but I don't know what is it that I'm looking for. :(

One of the advice I was given and also one that I give is no matter what decision we make, we should never look back and say what if I had done it differently?
Never regret pass decisions.
If it is any consolation, my mum is a nurse, my wife is a nurse and I have known quite a few nurses. It is a noble profession and best of all there is very high demand all over the world. The demand for nurses is still not met in many countries so it opens up many options for you.
Many nurses continue to work way pass their retirement age with options to either work part time or full time.

Yes, you're right. Nursing is such a noble and a well-respected profession. And, it's true that before, it was very in demand all over the world. But now, it's no longer that demanding. Here in the Philippines, nurses are already overflowing but there are only very few hospitals. They cannot accommodate us all. So maybe, I just have to look forward to whatever opportunities will come my way. Thanks for your response.

Nurse are really a noble profession. Anyway, your future depends on yourself. Go for what you like, or at least try to do what you like and it turns out not as expected, you can try something else that you like. Life is full of obstacles and as long as we keep going, nothing can stop us from achieving our dreams :p
All the best to you and remember that there are people out there who will also support your decision no matter what it is :D
Good day and all the best to you!

Well, as what I've said, I'm not even sure what I would really want to be and what I do want to have. But if in case I will be able to fully understand my goals, I will surely not hesitate to work hard in order to obtain it. :)

Hello pentagan12,
I know your feeling right now because my brother are the same to you he is also registered nurse but still don't have work. He took up that course because that is the common course in his time that's why he follow the others. Already 4 years but he don't practice his profession he have work but not permanent and now he only focus in online job but i advice him to volunteer in a hospital so that he have a chance to work in abroad because in Philippines most the nurse plan to go in abroad to get a high salary. He need experience here to work in abroad but he already don't put it in her mind he prefer to focus in online job. I hope that both of you will practice his profession so that it will not useless.
Have a nice day.
