That is a good motivation. As for me and my family, when we see dust bunnies starting to get big, that is the time we get the broom and start sweeping them. Then we get a semi wet cloth and start wiping the walls, the floors, and cabinets, tables and we put disinfectant too so that germs would be clean. We also clean the refrigerator once every two weeks and we actually have fun while doing it. It is tiring but fun to clean especially after seeing the fruits of your labor.

For me, my first motivator is health concern, for I got allergy to dust. Then if I would like to take a rest, I would do the cleaning as fast as I can. I can't just stay resting with dirty surrounding, so better to start up cleaning to be able to take a rest.

I like that, it's very cute! Right now my stainless steel appliances must be a little on the sad side :( People keep leaving smears and finger prints on them to bug me, and it works!
One of the things that really motivates me to clean is being in a really dirty house. If I go to someone's place and the bathroom is filthy then I have an overwhelming urge to scrub mine from top to bottom when I get home. Another thing that motivates me is having guests that either haven't been to our house before or haven't been in a while. We're in the middle of renovating and somehow when all the finished parts are nice and clean it makes the disaster seem less disastrous, lol.

No, you are not losing it. It is a nice to way to think about it when you take a cleaning job. Simply, you want to keep everything within your household happy, and you are happy. A big happy family within a house is a nice thing to think about. Your dad is smart actually. Keep it up!

Hi,
I like my house to be clean especially the floor and also the kitchen and
toilet.
So I mop the floor everyday and for kitchen, after cooking, I
will wipe it clean everyday.
As for toilet, I will wash it once a week.
I can't stand to see dust on the floor and with small kid at home,
I really need to keep my house clean and tidy.

I found boredom as a good motivator for cleaning. I am waiting for a call for my on the job training and I have nothing to do in the house. So what I do is use some of the free time to clean and arrange stuff in the house. Also, I live with my aunts so that also motivates me. I want the house to be clean and orderly when they get home.

Well with me the problem is to get started. If I ever start it, it's going to end well. That's usually when my apartment gets to crowded and I start knocking into things I get frustrated. Then I usually throw the closest thing around me and it usually gets smashed on the floor. After that I started cleaning it up. That's pretty much how I get started.

I start cleaning when it occurs to me when thing are messy.I do not notice this as quickly as other people do but I do notice it at some point often when people are frustrated at me for not noticing earlier. I'm nobody's neat nick but i have my limits. For example, my desk is getting on my nerves and it will be clean by this weekend.

What motivates me to start cleaning is my mother's voice. =)) Actually I really don't know why she keeps on saying that my room is messy, disorder, etc etc. Sometimes I just smile and wonder why in the world is she saying that, despite the cleanliness of my room? I do admit, that I really don't care if my things are not properly arranged, what's important for me is that my room is clean, no ants or whatever insects it may be, and that my room smells good. With that, I'm already contented.

haha... that's one way of putting it. as for me though, it's pretty much random. whenever i think that it is too dirty already i start picking up things, then i just have the feeling of not being contented with just that and since i'm already at it, might as well continue. until i've clean the whole place.

what motivates me to start cleaning? well, when i see that things are scattered and dust is lurking all over, i start cleaning. but i'm just renting a room because i'm still a student so i don't clean the surroundings. there are many occupants and i feel like it would be unfair if i will be the only one cleaning when in fact im not doing anything to make it dirty! well, if just my own room, i sweep the floor and do dusting SOMETIMES. that's all. i'm a little lazy. :(
