Why Does NoOne Sign Up For Sites When It's FREE

I was just wondering why the people who are looking to make money online will never sign up for an opportunity when it is FREE to join. They have nothing to lose by just checking the site out, who knows maybe they will like it. Is it because they are really naive and think by signing up for a site that it's gonna be like winning the lottery and they are magically gonna tons of money overnight. From my experience, if you want to make money online, you gotta work the site. If you don't like the site after joining, for free, then stop visiting it.
I'm not gonna lie, I have two sites that i've been promoting with FREE signups, nothing to buy after the sign up, and no one seems to want to take the time to sign up. I even offer to join their free site if they join mine, and still no takers.
Does anyone have any "words of wisdom" for me on how to deal with this? All responses appreciated.
Thanks

Well it is because they don't trust those kind of sites. Most people online believe that there is nothing true about free stuff. Well maybe because there are plenty of scam free stuff online. Free stuff online is most likely a scam since it is very easy to create hoax sites online.

What else to do but to just cool down. People are different. Some would sign up, some would not, we cannot understand their reason behind for not joining. It is also disappointing if those people you invited where your friends.
We do know people need extra money, and you offer them something that they can join in to try and earn some dough, but perhaps as I have said, you cannot please anyone and you cannot depend on them too.
I really don't rely on my friends on earning money online. I depend on my own self to work without their help. I just accepted the fact that they are not interested with the system I introduced so I just let them be. Anyway, it's not my lost after all.

I have to agree with you on that. I have been promoting sites myself hoping that I will have some referral points. But my friends will not believe me either. And I hate that fact. They are just very doubtful. I said to them that they can always search the web for forums about the site. We are jobless as of the moment so I am trying those online jobs site. But they dont take any interest of it. Its only for free also. I guess they want to become millionaires over nightt. I really agree that when you do online jobs, you have to work for what you earn. I will try my best to convince people to join.

well nothing is free and all the sites which we sign up for are not legit and it results in spamming up of our mailbox, more prone to viruses and leads to a great waste of energy in trying them.
so sign up or not is just a matter of thought that we like the offer or not, the site looks genuine or not.
so just be careful to give your personal data to anyone as you don't know how vulnerable a cyber attack can be exploiting your privacy

If people dont need money why they would sign up for sites which pays in cents?
Apart from that 99% site vanish from internet after few months taking our hard earn money from us.Almost all people have experienced it and they are kinds fade up.
Although joining site is free.It isnt free exactly. We need to spend time there which is valuable and when people are not sure if they are going to get something in hand they dont sign up for program. Its simple.I dont know why you are not able to understand this.May be you are new here?

Maybe they don't have time because they find it not interested. People might not know the site and its benefit towards them. Maybe it takes a lot of time for them to make such money which it can done the other ways. More simple and reliable information.
