So Halloween is just two weeks away, are there any particular movies you watch to get ready for the holiday or during Halloween itself? I personally enjoy pretty much any horror movie as Halloween gets closer, with a preference to older movies (particularity back to movies with Karlof and Legosi) as well as foreign horror films. The one movie I associate with the holiday the most though is Rocky Horror Picture show, it's the perfect movie for the holiday.

Without doubt it would be John Carpenters Halloween and is always one I end up watching whether on the television or popping in the DVD. Set on Halloween night with a killer that is just pure evil, the creepy atmosphere and the excellent score adds up to one of the best Halloween viewing experiences.I also like some of the older horror movies but I would lean toward the Hammer films era rather than the Universal ones. Another movie that is becoming a favorite is Trick r Treat, again set on Halloween night, it is an anthology of four horror stories that are all connected by the evil little Sam who reminds people not to break the Halloween traditions. I have to agree with The Rocky Horror Picture show as it has it all and is another perfect watch for Halloween, makes for a great themed costume party.
