Some people just can't afford to buy a home & the best solution for this is renting. But base on a theory went you rent for a long period of time, buying is more reasonable. Down payment for a house will cost you a lot of money, Some people are renting & saved money so they couls afford on buying a house. Buying a house is an asset for your life time happiness & financial achievement. Owning a house is a security to us & an advantage to create a home the way you wanted it.
What will be your choice will you like to go for rent or buy a house?

I wouldn't mind renting to own, kind of like having a mortgage. But that would be only if I really liked the house and the neighborhood. I am no where near doing that now - it's a little farfetched as I still live with my dad. lol. Ultimately (soon) I would like to move into an apartment (with amenities like a SWIMMING POOL!) how sweet would that be!

for me, its better to buy a house than renting, because renting a house is more expensive than buying it,and if you can just look the advantages of buying a house it is more adorable than renting. because when you buy a house, that house will be automatically yours, that renting. right?

Yes, buying a house is always the best in the long term investment plans. Even if I am to rent a house, I’ll have to make a security deposit with the landlord which is akin to making the initial down payment for buying the house. Also, the monthly rentals are almost equal to the monthly installments that go to the banks against the loan I have to take if I’m to buy the house. So all in all, renting is not cheap…rather if I stretch my resources a little more and forego some non-essential expenses, then I’ll have a house of my own by spending almost the same amount of money.

We are buying, we owe $50,000, we need to sell as it has become more than we can physically handle but it is over half paid for. It is for sale. We plan to sell this and buy again only closer to town and smaller acreage. We like owning. We can paint the house or rooms any color we like or tear up the carpet and put in hardwood floors, we can have a good garden and pets we choose. We have equity in buying. If you rent your subjected to landlords whims and wishes and it can be hard to do things you want.

i always rent movies and never buy them. its different for video games though as i'm more of a gaming fan then a movie buff. i mostly just rent video games as well but sometimes there's that one great game i will buy. i can't pass up the opportunity to buy a gaming masterpiece.

Most of them prefer buying over renting. But here too there are many constraints that prevents one from buying things. The foremost thing is availability of monetary assets at the time when you think of buying something, This is what makes people buy. Obviously owning a property is always an asset and is supposed to be a very good investment. But consider this, if you are in a kind of job that demands frequent relocation then investing on buying a house doesn't make sense unless you plan to invest on it in your own hometown. It is when people go for rented houses. In this material world everything has its own set of pros and cons we just have to choose the one that is more appropriate for us.

My choice is neither, actually. My Mate and I have agreed to save up until we can build a house.

I would love to own a house, but to do so requires a certain amount of income and start-up that I currently lack. Hopefully it will come to me as time passes though. I don't like the idea of always paying rent.

For me, I prefer to rent it.
When buy, we need soo much money.Even my whole money didn't enough, but if we rent for it.We can use the rest of the money to do a business and get more income.
Don't think about the cost for each month or years, but think about the rest of the money that we used for business.Compare what we get with what we have spend for renting.

I would rather buy a house than rent it. But then again, it depends on my financial position. When I buy a house with a loan, then I do not have to pay rent, but have to pay the installment. But at the end of the term, the house is mine unlike a rented houses. Imagine paying for more than twenty years or so. How much would have been spent for rent alone? And at the end of, say, 20 years, I would still be living in a rented house which obviously would not be mine. Moreover, I would like to give something to my daughter when I am gone. Not leave her alone without any asset at all!

Renting is cheap and owning ahouse is costly. There is a famous saying.."why own acow when milk is availble in plenty ".When you try to own a house without suffient own funds and on borrowals there is lot of headache.Purchasing land and getting plan approved and cost of construction are really mind blogging. When you borrow and construct you are not real owner for the next 20 years. What charm is there when you become real owner after 20 years. My cousin did not bnuild a house on the ground that if you construct a house you have to live there only. But if you rent a house you can change any time you want and live in different atmosphere and neighbours.I prefer to rent ahouse...

i will surely prefer to buy a house rather then renting. but sometimes with a job you have to stay at different places for a long time then i would buy a house for my retirement in the mountains and during my work years i will rent a house.
renting an house is an easy option but lacks financial security so i will own a house in the future.

If you wanna think long-term, I think buying is still the better idea. Renting is definitely good, if you're starting out, since it's more affordable, and convenient. While renting though, it's best to start saving for your own house. Although it certainly is more expensive, a house is still a good investment to have. Plus, its a feeling feeling when you have your OWN space. Having your own house takes a lot of dedication and cost, so make sure you are ready for it. Right now, we are renting, but we are really hoping to get our own house someday.

I personally never want to buy a house. It's just way expensive and way too much work. I'm not interested.

Nowdays it's hard to say wich is better to do. Owning a home is no guarantee on your investment anymore. Sure if you can afford to buy one you can't guarantee the value will increase. Many homeowners have lost a signifigant amount of value to the point their loan is worth more than their house and cannot refinance or do much of anything. The nice thing about renting is you don't have to worry about upgrading the home or repairs... unless you have a deadbeat land lord who won't repair a thing. We bought a fixer upper and it turned into a bigger project than we could afford but yet at the same time we have more freedoms in our own home than in a rental. So we do what we can when we can afford to do so.

My husband and I live in a house that we have rented, but we dream about buying our own house. We have found a house that we both like, but it is too expensive for us, and in order to buy it we need earn more money. I would like to have my own house instead of renting one, because that would give us more freedom and we would be able to change the house and the garden the way that we want and we would be able to have as many pets as we want. As long as we live in a rented house we have to follow the rules and I miss having more freedom. Of course there are also things which are easier in a rented house, we don't have to worry about loans, it is easier to move if we want to etc.
