i think this new generation of intel processor such as the i series as i3-i5-i7 are better and smarter than others or even compared to some competitors as amd.So i think choosing a pc based on these precessors is a good choice.Naturally as regards which version it depends from which kind of performances you want..so i think the core i5 normally is balnced as regards performances and prices..surely i7 will develop much power for complex sessions as multimedia or developers..

Hey there Rasorr! With that pentiumu 4, you can't do much indeed! Good choice you will buy a new computer! ;-)
I suggest you buy an i3 processor. There is the i3 processor, the i5 and the i7 processor. But the i3 is REALLY and I mean REALLY fast already and it does not eat that much energy. For playing games, that is already enough and the performances will be very good and you will play every game on maximum details!
My friend have an i7 and in fact, he doesnt need an i7 processor.. He paid a lot for this processor but when he would have bought an i3, that would be much cheaper and he would have the same result in performance.
So to end this reply; go for the i3 processor, that is the best way to go and you will be able to do whatever graphical task you want with excellent quality! Have fun with your new computer and you can always pm me with more questions or reply me here!

I have the i7 2.66GHz processor that comes with the MacBook Pro 15" and it is just great!
Even the i3 processor is great, but i7 will work even after longer time and enough efficiently. Of course you won't see a big difference now if you don't use some software that requires a lot of power, but after a few years you will...
I suggest you buy the i7 processor if you can afford it, but if you can't and don't even need better hardware, then you maybe better get the i3...

Hi Ramsesxll, you got nice pc, I7, 2.66Ghz, wow!!
I am thinking of I7 only because I am a gamer, downloader,Installer. so I want some faster processor like I7 :P
and every new game release that have some higher recommendations so I will prefer the latest processor which is i7.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for response

Yeah, well... It's not actually a PC because even though PC means just Personal Computer, people nowadays use it only with Windows computers, and not Macs. You can see this by watching Mac comercials ("Hey, I'm a Mac. Hey, I'm a PC").
Anyway... Good for you! I am happy that you have made your decision, because me too I am a "gamer, downloader,Installer" but also a video/audio/web/hopefully application editor, and I need a lot of horsepower for all of these.
Have a nice day you too!
P.S. Does your name "Rasorr" come from the Razer gaming hardware?
