Many people say that if we frequently listen to the music using earphone, sooner or later we will get partial deafness. So I avoid that. However, is that right guys? Do you have experience with that?

i was given the same warning before. I think apart from the volume, it's the impact of the closeness of sound to your ears. if you frequently use earphones, your ears is frequently in contact with direct sound. we know that very loud sounds or volume would harm our hearing senses, the same principle with earphones apply.

i guess its the volume that cause partial deafness not the earphones.. i love listening to music in earphones cause i can bring it anywhere with my mp..
its just in the way or how loud you want it to be.. thats why it can cause deafness.. :)

The actual volume will definitely cause some form of hearing loss, given that a person would listen to it constantly interrupting the ear drum. However thate are some ear phone brands out there that actual help with this.
One brand that comes to mind is the Bose brand they have created some that are actually really good for the hearing as it cancels out the access to the direct eardrum.
