Coke should put the UPC Code on the top of the boxes (12 & 24 packs) where the handle is? My wife and her friend told me that it would be soooo much easier when shopping if the UPC code, that the cashier register scanners read. It was thought that it would be easier for store cashiers if it was on the bottom ...so that could just slide it over the scanner. I shop at many stores and all of the cashiers tell us just to leave the 12 or 24 packs in the cart that they will hand scan them or enter the code from their charts. It is time for Coke and all beverage manufacturers to re-think this.

But remember, we are talking about COKE here, they can pretty much do whatever they want and get away with it, that includes placing the upc code anywhere on the package ... In my humble opinion, I will say that it's also a marketing thing, anything on top or front of any merchandise should not reflect more than what they're trying to sell you, it has to catch the customers' entire view, shouldn't be distracted with a bar code near by.

That's is true, your absolutely right on that, In theory, that's why they suggest consumers to provide them with feedback on any item related issue. But again, two questions rise to me: * How many suggestions/complaints would be required for Coke to make proper changes? Depending on territorial convenience? What percentage of that population should be required to comply? * How can we tell if any suggestion given is/has been enforced? How can we tell if it's not the competition who votes for any changes in their favor? and so on, and so on ... That's why I still think they pretty much do whatever they want OR what they see that the vast majority will go along with.
