Is the Human race the weakest of all?

Is the Human race the weakest of all? On the face of it we are the mightiest. We have intelligence. Intelligence to have a social order. Intelligence to create. Intelligence to discover. Intelligence to modify nature to suit us. Intelligence to destroy. Where nature is concerned, it always has beaten us. Take a mosquito for instance. It has adapted to every pesticide we have made. Same is with germs and viruses. Same is with monkeys who are now an established urban entity, leaving the wild, which we occupied. We as humans fall like ninepins, to disease, to pollution which is our making, to normal weather and to ourselves. Do we have the eligibility to call ourselves the mightiest of all? I think not!

Well, it was said that human race is the cleverest, but I guess you are right in saying human is also the weakest.

Thank you! If we are to leave a legacy to the generation next, let it be healthy.

Physically yes, the human race is the weakest of all and we’ve only exacerbated the situation by our continuous urban existence. If you see tribal people still living as hunter gatherers or at least more rooted to nature, they are much better off physically than the city dwellers. Nature will always get the better of us…it has to be that way otherwise we humans will become God, which will not be good for this planet. Our forefathers knew that nature is always to be held in awe, yet they learnt a lot by observing nature and in many cases, their knowledge far exceeded the knowledge that we’ve gathered in our labs.

What you say is of very great importance. Nature nurtures us. It would be foolhardy to go against it.

No, I don't think so. Humans also adapt to their environment just like everyone else. If we are from nature then aren't we part of nature too? Yes, we can call ourselves the mightiest of all, in fact we can call ourselves whatever we want. I can say you are gay, you are handsome, you are beautiful, you are the most beautiful, we are all beautiful, we are the most beautiful, we are the mightiest of all, etc.

I admire your faith in the adaptability of humankind. I will await the day we are immune to all the pollution we create.

I don't know... we can be weak and strong at the same time... I can't really compare it with other animals. We are all very different in our own ways. But I don't think we are the mightiest of all at all.

So what do you think the best way to be constructive is?

The best way to get something good out of this would be to stop being destructive and be constructive. "Join 'em when you cannot beat 'em". What is wrong in joining forces with animals and help nature nurture us? I think we should do it!

Well the same as human, other animals or micro organisms can also evolve into a much better kind to survive. But then of course it is always the human who innovate the most.

Any innovation in line with nature and its requirements is good and desirable. What we do is the opposite. That is a matter of concern.

Hey, hey, hey! We aren't quite extinct yet. In fact our population is booming quite out of control. I think this world is a bit too populated, but so many people don't use birth control. Anyway, emerging viruses are a big concern, but there are always people out there with some immunity to them. And scientists are working on them too. There is an Ebola vaccine that works on primates now. That is amazing because the mortality from that virus is 50-89% depending on the strain. Humans are not that weak physically either. We are made for distance running and that is how we used to and still in some parts of the world hunt. We will run an animal that is faster than us down to heat exhaustion because we can sweat and cool ourselves thus while they cannot. I think the human body is amazing and think we will find ways to be the best we can be.

You are one hundred percent correct that we are capable physically. My point is that we use our intelligence to modify the nature ot suit us instead of adapting to the circumstances. Somewhere down the line we have to let nature be what it was meant to be. All the Global warming is becoming a stark reality today has its origins in the humankind's modification of nature. We have to prevent this.

Why would our egos take us there when there are bigger things at stake? We have a history of being frontliners and, even if its wrong, we tend to have a great background. I think we have the willingness to call ourselves the mightiest even when we have fallen short occasionally. We are nothing if not human.

We are human and so we err! That is natural. But to err consistently, is not done! We have become greedy. We are lazy. Utility is for the poor. The rich squander all the resources. I know people who take their car to the park a block away, for jogging! That is a sin! a brisk walk will serve as a warm up, and they can jog all the more! I would prefer a front-line which is in line with nature not against it.

Certianly if you compare a human we come off last, but the way we have survived is by the use of our brains. Right now this looks like this will also be the cause of our demise.

That is an unfortunate fact. The day we stop leaning heavily on the nature and be one with it we should hopefully see a better existence.

We human are special creation of GOD,so,we are never the weakest, but the smartest of all. We are still here, and we still exists and still doing imaginable creation and inventions. Have you ever heard an animals who invented something yet?

I will give you that no animal has invented any thing to the betterment of the world. We the humans have invented ways to annihilate the entire world in a billion ways. We have also invented medicines which cure us, that is good. But we have not treated the nature as we should have. That is really sad.

i would say when it comes to certain things we are, especially when we are expericing something in our life that we are going through. we tend to turn weak minded an about alot because somethings in life we cant stand to bare. so anything that comes our we we tend not to care in that state of mind. but as a whole no i think we are the strongest we just need to use our mind correctly to stay that way.

HUman race is the most destructive - Human can kill everything in planet earth. The only things are viruses that can effect the human the same and other human of course.
Well one thing for sure, human is the most destructive race or species in planet earth.I guess beside human is the viruses that are lurking around. The only thing that can kill humans are like human themselves and also from outer space like meteriote and such.Even natural disaster somehow human will survive.HUman may not be the weaklest or the strongest but surely the most destructive force in planet Earth.

in the other side YES, while in the other side no were not. Yes because we are only human who has the spirit to contact, recieve, and contained God. and he is the creator of all things so meaning to say he is the most powerful person of all.

I agree with you. God is supreme in every sense. But see what we are doing to his creation, the nature. We are destroying it. We are destroying ourselves too! If we are doing it are we really respecting God?

Sorry but for me human is incomparable to any living creature. You know why because in creation human is the only creature that created with special treatment by the Creator (God). Human was created according to the image of the Creator (God). However, as you said we are the mightiest, intelligence and others. So for me human race is the strongest among other creation or all.

It may perhaps to equate might and intelligence to being strong. History tells us that these two attributes have been associated more with despots than the respectable. Being special creations does not give us the right to play God. My concern is that we are doing that with nature, without even realizing that we are becoming the weakest!

We will ultimately have to live in nature. That seems to be the only way.
