Yes, I do believe that it is important for us to have a break even once a year because we do face stress at work and we need to take a break and relax also. It is good to hear that you will be with your family for a short vacation. Indeed I myself will be taking a short vacation with my hubby to visit my in-laws and that will be a good vacation for us since it is a wonderful place. Next year if God's will, we will also have another marvelous vacation in my country. I hope this time it will be complete because it will be the first time that my folks will meet the parents of my hubby.

Yes, I think taking a long or short break out of your work is absolutely necessary to revitalize. My favorite spot is Hawaii. I visit Hawaiian islands at least once a year.

I adore traveling to different countries in the world. It is essential for me to go away traveling overseas for at least two weeks a year. Three weeks is even better I think. In the past when I had the opportunity I took one short break, a weeks trip and two weeks trip. Like I had Valentines in Bruges in Belgium, a week in Turkey for New Year and two weeks in the Seychelles during the Easter holidays. That was 2004 and it worked out well. This summer I spent two and a half weeks in Canada. It was almost three weeks. There are so many different places on my travel wish list for the future.

For me traveling is my only luxury, but I feel it as a need just as you say. I am retired and live frugally all year but I work online just to save money to travel. Depending on how things go in my life is where I go, but even if it´s a week away from the routine it is worth it. This year I wasn´t planning on being able to travel as I had to have shoulder surgery and I had to spend some money in extras. But still I managed to go for 10 days to the south of my country and a week to the city farthest north. Yes, I think it is very necessary in one's life. Even if my work is not that hard or there's really not a lot of pressure, I think it would be a good idea to just be out of the workplace for a while. It can help you relax and forget about the pressure and problems of your work and concentrate more on being free and having quality time with your friends and family. It would really take your mind off things that are stressful and begin to appreciate the wonderful creations of God.

Absolutely yes! You have to take a break from the 9 to 5 routine, one week is not enough I find, to get out of the routine and relax and enjoy your holiday. If you can supplement a 2 week break with a long weekend away during the year, I would say that would give you a decent quality time away.

Well, every once in a while, if you can afford it, but you really don't need to. My family and I go on vacations every once in a while in order to take a break from the normal average days of lives.

I can miss going on a long vacation every year but my husband thinks we need to take a long vacation every year. My opinion is like I tell him we don't have the money to go on long vacations every year.

I think yea it is important to take at least for 10 days holidays once in a year for enjoying. Because every month we doing hard work in office so if you take some days leave in a year then it is not bad and you can enjoy your holiday on any beautiful place with your family.
