Do your kids ever want to wear matching Halloween costumes?
It was my daughter's idea to wear a matching costume to her twin brother. She wanted to be Jessie from Toy Story while he was Woody.. but he did not want to be Woody. So she figured she'd let him decide what he wanted to be, then she'd pick a matching outfit. He choose Batman.. so my daughter decided to be Batgirl. My 4 year old also decided to be Batman and got the same exact costume as his older brother! I tried to convince hubby to buy the 2 year old a Batman costume as well so we'd be a family of Batmans.. but the 2 year old really wanted Superman! The oldest, who originally said he was not dressing up this year, opted to get some make up to create a dead football player costume.. he's using his school football gear.
Have your kids ever been the same costume at the same time?

My sister called today she said both my nieces are going to be cheerleaders this year. My mom had 9 kids but the only time I recall us doing similar outfits when I was like 5 and I was raggedy ann and my younger brother (age 4) was Andy. My mom and grandmother made the costumes and when I was 11 and he was 10 My mom painted us up to look like the Kiss group. It took forever to get that paint out of my hair..after that I can't remember us being anything the same. And so far my nieces and nephews haven't been anything similar yet with the exception of this year..as I said cheerleaders..and that is only if she can't get something else that will be warmer. It has been brisk out and nights getting pretty chilly out.

I did the Kiss guy once.. well not totally. I just wanted to dress up like a rock star, and used some of my own clothes to do it.. and my mom's boyfriend painted the Kiss make up on my face... so I wasn't really a Kiss guy, just a rock star with Kiss make up. I think I spray painted my hair pink or purple.

That's so cute!
When I was a kid I wanted to match costumes with my friends sometimes, like a group of us would be Power Rangers or Lion King characters, lol.
I think it's not uncommon for girls to want to match costumes; it's kind of in our blood, lol!

I always thought it would be fun to be a matching couple on Halloween.. like he be a prince and I be a princess.. or something funny like Fred and Wilma Flinstone. Too bad my hubby doesn't like dressing up.

The only time my kids were matching was when they were younger. When we just had the girls they were both the same carebear. I found a cute carebear one for my oldest and then found the same carebear one for the youngest only it was made a little different. Other than they they have always been different. Last year I think they were a devil and a flying dragon lol. We haven't even got our costumes for this year yet. It's hard because there are so many cute princess costumes but it is usually so cold that if they want to wear them they would have to wear clothes under them to go trick or treating.

That is why I buy the costumes a little bigger, so they can fit over a sweat suit. I hate to see them wear coats over their costumes!

Nope, not even the twins, although this year Cary is Harry Potter and Dearra is a student from the Potter world. But it wasn't planned that way.

I really like the idea of having a family of Batmen walking down the street together. That would certainly be cute. That said, I don't remember any time while I was growing up where we were in costumes that went together for Halloween, we were usually quite an eclectic mix. When Paul was little I thought about putting the kids in matching costumes, but I never had the opportunity to do it because Paul developed an opinion of his own very early on.

When my children went trick or treating at Halloween, they would be mortified to even consider wearing matching costumes. They would not want to look like each other. They would outdo each other to see who had the better costume.

My little girls are wearing matching witches costumes this year. They are 2 and well...they are both 2 but the oldest is almost 3, they're 11 months apart. They're not really old enough to decide what they want to be yet and my mom found these adorable costumes at a garage sale, they were in perfect condition and the right sizes, so why not? She bought both of the costumes for $8 total, can't be that, plus they are going to be super cute!

Growing up my sister and I often had matching costumes as my mom would make them. We are 6 years apart. I remember one year we were clowns and one year we were Cats I was a white snow lepord and she was a white tiger. Those are the most memorable to me and we always had fun. My daughter is an only child but I wonder if when she gets into school if she will match her friends. As long as they are happy and having fun I guess that is what matters. It would have been cute to see a whole family of batmans LOL.

First of all, I Love the idea of a Family of Batmans! Beyond cute. This year, my boys are five and two. I had already decided to dress the two year old up in the skeleton costume his brother wore at that age. My oldest saw it and when we went shopping for an outfit, picked out the same one. I told him over and over, this would be the same thing his little brother would be wearing, and that made him want it all the more. I am (of-course) delighted because it will make such a great picture! I know that soon enough, they will not want to dress the same, so I relish in it while it lasts.

I think matching Halloween costumes are such a cool idea. :) When I was younger, my brother and I both were dinosaurs for Halloween. I was a pink one and he was a blue one. :)
