I found this out years ago, after joining and then deciding that this wasn't probably for me, it said that your account wouldn't be deleted, but just inactive. At the time this didn't really bother me and as it happens a couple of years later, I decided to get back into Facebook, and the reactivation process was really easy and it just looked as if I was never away.
If you have a lot of unwanted friends, then the best way is to just delete each friend that you no longer want. depending on the amount of friends, this could take some time, but it is probably the easiest thing to do.
I often go through my friends list and prune them back a bit, especially if some of the friends were only friends because of application I joined that i am no longer part of.

Yeah, I'd also suggest you to delete all the unwanted friends, but to keep your current facebook account. Otherwise, if you use the same email address to register a new facebook account, those unwanted friends can still be able to find you and request you to add them as friends. Though it's troublesome, if you block them or delete them from your friend list, then you can still maintain a clean list. Or, you can also contact facebook administrators and see if they can help you with this.

Yes you can delete your Facebook accounts. But for this you may go to setting panels in Facebook. Their you may find options of deleting your accounts. So it is very simple and you can try this way and I think you can very easily delete your accounts.

#1. Just ignore your existing Facebook Account and never log in again. Or if you want another account you can always make another.
#2. You can also delete your account from your Account Setting and select Delete Account and give your password.
If #2 doesn't work follow #1.... Lol.

You can delete the people that you do not want to hve as friends. You could also create a new Facebbok account by using a different e-mail address. Then you can connect to only those you want to connect with.

It would probably be best if you just deleted all the friends that you didn't want. That would save you the trouble of building up an account again. Don't accept every friend request that comes your way! You don't need people you don't really trust prowling around your profile.
