what is the best way to loose weight?

it seems people gain weight for different reasons ... e.g. obese people may actually have some kind of imbalance that is difficult to correct leading to weight gain in any diet ... Perhaps a good start is to observe any obsessive compulsive eating, if that is not an issue then perhaps the next step is to include "* stabilizers" in the foods and drinks we ingest. For instance it seems green tea, ginger (tea?) or drink, garlic/onion soup and most dark green vegetables will do wonder to a balanced metabolism and "fat storage" ... What do you think ?
