It is my opinion that it is quite the contrary. In a day and age where relationships are taking each other for granted, it is of up most importance to say to someone you love them.
We never know when we are going to pass and not having said to the person I love you enough times would haunt me for a very long time.

I always say I love you to my partner, every chance I have, I say it. Even in text messages we always say I love you. It doesn't irritate us, nor even tired of saying it, I think its just we're both expressive to each other, if we say something, we mean it, and if we mean it, we say it.

it doesnt irritate me^^ actually i wish my lover said that to me many times^^ but he never has time for me :( anyway for me is sweet to say that i love you to my bf^^ i dont get tired of it^^ but sure we cant always say that all the time we need to say other things romantic also^^ and not just i love you. also we need to show it and not just say^^ if you love the person really it wont irritate you if he says many times^^ maybe you are too sensitive ahah

I don't think hearing I love you or saying it to someone I love can be irritating at all. I'll take it as a sign that he knows it's important for me to hear he still loves me and see him act by his love for me.
But there are types of people who don't really like showing their affection or hearing someone else say 'I love you'. So it just depends on the person's personality i guess.

I Love You is something that we want to hear from that special some one at some point and when we get there and we feel the same it can be a great thing. However, when some one met you yesterday and they are saying it like its air it get on your nerves and there is no truth to it at all.

My husband and I say "I love you" every chance we get. Personally it doesn't irritate us, I love to hear him say those words to me. And to tell you the honest truth I don't think it will ever bother me. We have been together for 15 years and hope for many more.
I see it this way, if you mean it and it means something to you, say it, because you never know if that person will be around tomorrow to hear it. So every chance I get I say "I love you" to him and my kids.
