Micro SD Card Repair

The micro sd card in my cell phone quit working. I gave important files in it that I want to recover. Would appreciate any suggestions on how to repair the sd card so I can recover my files.

Hello epineda, If the card is still recognized by a SD adapter on your laptop / desktop, make an image of the file, and work on the image to try to recover your files. A card not recognized under Windows may sometimes be recognized under Linux at low level, and a raw image made, using the console 'dd' command. If the card is not recognized at all, it is impossible to recover it. All you can do is to try to reformat it, but I would not use it again for important data...

Thanks for the reply, my card cannot be read by the sd adapter on my laptop. Is there still away to recover my files? If not how do I reformat the card?

Reformatting memory cards make you lose data forever. Be careful.

The only way is to check and see if it works outside your phone with and adapter to pc. Other than that none!!
