Our Favorite Badminton Player

Indonesia produced many world-class badminton player,,we know our badminton legend rudi hartono and liem swie king who winning all england for many time, we also have more famous player such as icuk sugiarto, haryanto arbi, joko suprianto, ardy wiranata,alan budikusuma, susi susanti, sigit/chandra, ricky/rexy, taufik hidayat and more player who so familiar for us.
i think men single taufik hidayat and men's double ricky subagja/rexy mainaky is my favorite player,,,can u share your favorite badminton player ?

Yes Indonesia was the king in badminton in the 70s and 80s and early 90s. I think the Indonesian prestige in badminton has gone down now.
A lot of Indonesian badminton champions are of Chinese ethnicity. Although most of them stay in Indonesia and continue to train new Indonesian athletes, some of these players went back to China and become trainers there. That's the reason that badminton is now dominated by China.
As for my favorite player, it is definitely Rudy Hartono. He's a legend. He won the All England tournament 7 times consecutively which is amazing. He is also known for his coolness under pressure.

yes u right my bro,,,rudi hartono our real badminton hero, he won all england the biggest and oldest tournament for 8 times not 7 times like u mention above,,,i think he is the biggest and respectfully player,,there are also our valuable player in that era such as tan joe hok and ferry sonneville which support indonesian team to reach our first thomas cup

Yes you are right. He won the all england tournament 8 times. What I was trying to say was that he won 7 of them in a row.

badminton athletes that I like Hadinata Christian name, he deserves to be a symbol of strength Indonesian badminton . He is a living legend who managed to carve out an international achievement both as a player, coach, and currently as a board Badminton Association of Indonesia.

yes u right cristian hadinata is our badminton legend, he was included in golden generation in our badminton history, as player paired with anyone he always play beautiful and be a champion,as a national coach he setup a new golden generation in badminton competition

thank u for remind me about susi and alan, they are our champion couple who won women's single and men's single gold medals at the olympic game 1992 barcelona, especially for susi susanti, i think she is our badminton legend on women single

the same with me,,now i only now some young player for single simon santoso and for men's double markis kido/hendra setiawan,,,for woman single and other i don't know more
