how will bangladesh perform in the 2011 world cup ?

i am also surprised to watch how bang perform in the coming world cup. their win on the sereis against NZ was a good one, lets watchout if it was a off season for NZ or the improved talent of bangladesh

Ya they can,they have the potential to do it. They are struggling with consistency,it they overcome that roblem ,there are many things waiting for them.

Oh yes, the recent performance by the Bangladesh was an eye-opener! I usually don’t follow Bangladesh cricket coz most of the times they get thrashed and as a Bengali, I feel bad but just the other day I was going thru the sports section and was very very surprised at the way they thrashed the Kiwis…its not that I have very high hopes but at least I think Bangladesh will put up a good fight and we’ll see some very good matches.

Hi psychicart, After Bangladesh defeated strong New Zealand team, eye brows have been raised about the performance of Bangladesh in forthcoming I.C.C. world cup to be held in Indian sub continent, Bangladesh being one of the organising Nation. The team New Zealand they white washed recently can not be considered as weak as the same team had beaten strong Indian team in triangular series in Sri Lanka not long time back. Bangladesh entered the world cup arena in 1999 before they got I.C.C. recognition as test playing Nation. In world cup'99 and world cup'03 they could not proceed beyond first round though they beat much fancied Pakistan in one of the round robin matches. In W.C.'07 they shunted out India by beating them in the first match they faced and sneaked into 2nd round of the tournament that is their best effort at world cup. Lot is expected from them in this world cup being played at home.
