Well, if you want to stop yourself using facebook then try to spend more time here on mylot, after some days you will be addicted to mylot like me and forget about using facebook, i also used to spend a lot of time on facebook and now i rarely open my facebook account once in a day, that's the magic of mylot.

Hello Sheeny, I am also a member of Face Book and I also visit face book atleast one time whenever I am on internet. But I never felt that I am hooked or addicted to it as there is nothing much to do on it. You need to have good number of friends to interact. I think Mylot is rather more addictive than face book as here anybody can participate in any one's dicussion. Here we have lot of topicsarranged in a syatematic manner to paerticipate in and after all its a paying site.
I thin if you have many friendsand find it difficult to control your self from particupating in face book, then decide your self what all you need to do on the site. Like I upload one quotation a day of my liking and add few comments to my friends comments and wish friends on the special occassions like birth days and Marriage anniversaries, festivals etc.
Thanks for the topic which is interesting and may be useful to many of us on this site!

I enjoy using Facebook on a daily basis and I think that's ok. If you're feeling addicted and just want to stop the addiction there are some things you need to ask yourself. The first question being why? Why is it that you want to stop visiting Facebook? Maybe make a pros/cons list to sit near your computer so that when you log on to your computer you can remind yourself why NOT to visit Facebook. It will take some willpower, especially quitting something you're very use to doing every day. Just make NOT checking your Facebook a habit. The first few weeks will be tough but eventually you'll get use to it. :-) GOOD LUCK!
