Well, being a non-drinker and non-smoker i would like to know whether do people drink/smoke to just enjoy or to forget their worries. I think that it's 50-50, some people drink/smoke to enjoy and some do this to forget their worries. What do you think about this? If you are one of them then why do you drink/smoke?

Yea right, once they taste it they get addicted to it. Some of them start to drink/smoke beause of bad company that they had. But once you get addicted to it, it gets rdally difficult to get rid of this addiction. Happy mylotting. And thanks for your response.

Initially, many people start smoking and drinking being influenced by bad company of some friends around. Then, they slowly try to maintain it,accepting it as a status symbol and means for social recognition. With passage of time, they get so much addicted,it becomes extremely difficult to get out of this trap.Of course,I have remained a non-drinker and non-smoker throughout my life. These people are weak in their mind and get easily trapped. It is also reported that some people becoming highly frustrated and depressed in their family life and in work environment, get recourse to drinking. Thanks.

Yes, you are right that a bad company of friends can also force you to drink and smoke and as you said family problem and pressure can also be the reasons. And after some time it becomes their habbit and see it as a permanent remedy. Thanks for your response.

Yea many of the people think that it's a trend and start to drink and smoke but that's just their misunderstanding, it's just a social problem if not more. I think if people start to control themselves then they can get rid of this addiction. Thanks for your response.
