I wonder how much electricity you consume every month?

Here the electricity will be increased. According to its investigation, most families use 110kwh per month. If your family consumes more than 110kwh, then the electricity fee will be higher. We all doubt how this number comes from because this is not possible to consume so little every month. In my family, we consume about 600kwh every month. Is it possible for you to consume 110kwh a month? How much do you use?

I do not know the numbers but it is very good amount. We use all heavy appliances like Fridge, AC, Washing machine, microwave, TV, Geyser (only during winter season which is very rare at our place), Fan and tubelight. I am not sure how much electricity a desktop and laptop consumes. There are days when both my desktop and laptop are on for around 15-16 hours. Can anybody let me know the amount of electrity a PC consumes, we have been receiving very huge bill in past 3-4 months. And these are the months I have been keeping my PC on for 10-12 hours continuous.

I think the computer won't consume a lot of electricity, especially the laptop. This is why I prefer to use it.

oh cool. Then I can keep my laptop ON for downloading movies the whole night, like for around 7-8 hours. I have this unlimited download feature in my net. And I cannot find a way to use up maximum GBs possible, so that's why wanted to know the power consumption. Thanks a lot

All of our family members like sleeping late at night.so we consume more electricity every month.obsolutely exceed 110kwh.so ,the reform of electricity price will let us pay more money for it.

I looked at my last month's bill and it was over 850 kwh for the month. We are in a really large, older house. I am at home almost all of the time using electricity. Our cooking is on electric stoves.I think your discussion is going to push me to reduce the amount of electricity we use. In this house I do not think we could reduce our usage to 110kwh. I do not know your household situation.

My home is about 100 meter square. We use many electrical appliances such as the stove, oven, microwave oven, fridge, air-conditioner etc. So it is not possible to consume less electricity.

Same here. I have all the basic electric appliance which are used in day to day life. We cannot live without them and that's the reason we cannot live without electricity as well.

Yeah we are used to electricity and we can't live without it. Electricity is a very useful thing but a very dangerous enemy when it comes to handling them. Put caution always in dealing with electricity. It make take your life in a second. Reference: http://bizcovering.com/business/how-to-be-safe-in-dealing-with-electricity/

my bill is very confusing to read so I just go by what I pay per month which is anywhere from 70 to 80.00 per month. I do all I can to conserve which is unplug appliances and electronics when not in use. I shut breakers off in rooms that are not being used. It's just me and my daughter and that is the lowest I seem to be able to get it.

Hi youless, I'm not aware of how much electricity we have consumed each month. My husband is the person who is in charge of the electricity, water, land tax, etc. I have to ask him before answering your question. Yeah, from the number shown on the latest electricity bill my husband passing to me it's 248 kwh. He addes that it's around 300 kwh per month. It's impossible for us to use less than 110 kwh of electricity per month for sure. We do less clothes ironing, we use clay pot to boil water instead of electric kettle. The weather here is quite scorching here therefore my husband's elder sister switches on the hot water when showering. I set the air con for a couple of hours and have the ceiling fan on at the same time before going to bed. The cold air makes us to fall asleep easily. Only the fan keeps on working the whole night. The two electricity devices that consume large kw are water heater and air con, followed by the kettle. I think it's quite frugal for us to consume 300 kwh month. It's our responsibility not to waste the sources of energy to protect of our planet. Therefore we switch on the light and other appliances when needed only. This is not only friendly to our environment it helps to save our monthly household expenses as well Have a nice day

Good explaination about electricity usage. I too think that lowest one can consume is around 300kwh which includes very basic electric appliance and not anything extra. I use my air conditioner in exactly the same way you have mentioned. I keep a timer in my AC for one hour and keep my fan swicthed on at same time and then go to sleep. My AC makes my room cool enough in one hour to continue sleeping comfortably for rest of the night. At times, the temperature is around 34 C even at night and thats when I have to switch on my AC once more in the middle of the night. So, my electricity consumption is maximum during summer season!!

I do try to keep the electricity consumption in my house as low as possible. I would not waste electricity. For example, I would not have the TV running without watching, and I would not have the light on in the sitting room when no one is sitting in the room.

hi youless I wish I was once again in an apartment and having electric bills but alas I am still in this tiresome retirement center and I imagint that some of the$981 payt they get from each of us each month does go for the electric bill of this old place. it takes most of my social security and SSI checks each month to pay room rent and board. so maybe sometime this year I will get to move out of this place into an a ptartment again with my son. hope so anyway.

I don't remember how much energy I use every month but I'm sure I use a lot since I live in a big house. I tried to find my bill to see how much I used last month but I couldn't find it. My heat and air is what consumes most of my energy. Because my house is so large, it takes a long time for it to heat in the winter. Here lately, I have tried to keep my thermostat on a temperature where it won't run as much. That helps to keep my bill down.

It is more or less the same in our country here, the government is going to increase the electricity if the natural gas price is going to increase further, we all have to bear the cost. My family consume more than 500kwh in a month, with the refrigerator to be on 24 hours a day and some of the lighting must be on for the whole night, and also use the air-conditioner during hot days. That sometime increase the electricity bill a lot. Those are the thing that can't be avoid and no way to reduce it.

Oh my god! Same story everywhere. Each and every person in my department is waiting for a salary hike for past 2 years. Our executive directer gave a good speech about salary hike around 2 months back. He said in less than 60 days you will get a notice regarding compensation. It has been 80 days since that annoucement and no email/notice yet. Now people are saying he will be back to increase it to 90 days.
