A Really Dirty Question.....

I was out camping for a week. The area I was forced to make camp in had little to no water. For six days I took water from a small spring that was barely a trickle. Once purified I had water for drinking and cooking. Needless to say there was little for bathing. At the end of the trip I was miserable and felt terrible! After returning back to civilization I took a long overdue shower...actually I took two showers it felt so good. What is the longest you have gone without bathing and what were the circumstances. (Bet I got you with the title ....didn't I ... shame on you )

I had one gross, grungy week as a teenager. See, I played competitive hockey, and the March Break when I was 15, I was in a hockey camp in the morning, then quick back home for lunch, then back to hockey camp. I was so tired from being skated back and forth all day, and I knew I would just get all sweaty again tomorrow...and I went four days without showering. I reeked. In ice hockey, you are sweating like a pig in like 15 pounds of equipment, and my (really long) hair was all greasy...I obviously did not see my boyfriend that week! After that, no matter how exhausted I am, I will shower long before it gets that bad!

Yep. Super gross. And the weird thing is, my whole life, both before and after that week, I've always been the person who had to have a shower and wash her hair every single day, wipe her mouth perfectly clean after every single bite of food, never leave a smudge or stain anywhere...you get the picture. Even as a kid, I wouldn't play outside unless it was in clothes so old they were practically rags, because my "nice" clothes could not have so much as a loose thread. lol!

I actually went over a week when I was in the hospital with pneumonia. There was a complication where a bunch of fluid (almost four litters!) accumulated around my right lung and was closing it up. I had this tube sticking out from between my ribs, draining this fluid for a few weeks. Eventually, I had enough and had to take a shower with the tube coming out of me and an IV drip in my arm! I tore out the IV but it didn't hurt much. The real problem was lugging the "fluid receptacle" and IV rack around with me. That shower would have made my month if it were under better circumstances lol

I think maybe two days and that was when I was younger and was very sick with the flu. My mother insisted that I stay in bed because I had a high fever and she didn't want me to pass out in the shower. After the second day I told her she could sit in the bathroom with me if she wanted to but I was going to take a shower. I was sweating for the past two days, there was no way I wasn't going to take a shower and get all the icky germs off of me. To this day, unless I am in a coma (gosh, lets hope not) I take a shower ever day. In the summer time I take two a day. I love to take showers and I feel nasty when I don't take on. This is one of the reasons why I really don't like to go camping unless there are showers close by.

The longest i've gone without shower is 1 week. I was a kid and i hated taking showers. I was like a dog. All i wanted to do was play all day, eat, and sleep.

3 days and it was disgusting. I use to be a girl scout leader and we went camping for 3 days, similar situation as yours and well I too could not wait to return home to a warm shower. See I am an obsessive bather, I have to, have to take two baths a day. I am well known for being the cleanest girl ever. That 3 days I could not stand my own skin. Hopefully someday if I am too sick too bathe someone ill at least sponge me off.

Awwh how nice and so rewarding to watch the girls interact and appreciate you for being there for them as they will talk to you as if you were their best friend.

I think the longest I went without a shower was maybe five days? I'm not sure why. I think it was because we were at the beach for the week and we were just letting the ocean wash us, LOL. We didn't even notice! Nice title btw ;)

Beachbums..... very cool bathing in the ocean is good for the skin and works very well... I think it is the salt content. It's gonna be a long night...busy busy busy I think...

Well, my case is more or less the same as you. This is a part of my school trip. I was staying in a hotel and I and 3 of my friends are in one room. In a day, I barely even touch the bathroom. Here's the story : 1. I got up late in the morning and I didn't have the chance to bathe, because the schedule is tight, so I went without shower. 2. When we got back to the hotel, it was 16.00 and it was a perfect time to bathe. But, my friends asked me to play basketball with them. So, I joined them. 3. We played basketball for at least 3 hours and at that time, it was almost dinner. So, without hesitation, I went straight to the cafeteria at the hotel and eat dinner, without showering. 4. It was 21.00 and I was very sleepy that I forgot to have a shower, so I went straight to bed.
