how does working with a group sound like to you?for me, it may be fine, but there are complications.what if one of the members doesn't participate?it will defeat the purpose of the group, right?for example, you are in a group and supposed you have to make a presentation, but one of the members doesn't help.it will be inconvenient for the rest of the group, right? for me, i prefer working alone for a project.it may be hard for me, but atleast i'm not dragging someone else down if i wont succeed, right?if i were to join a group, i will do my part to the group rather than just wait for the other members.

When we have a group project I end up doing alone because my group mates won't help me and sometimes I don't want someone to finish it if somebody has already started it. It's nice if the whole group cooperates and shares something on the project. But I'd rather do it myself because I know I can finish it on time while if by group, we still tend to chat and laugh.

Same here. It all depends on what kind of work you're talking about, situation etc. But I prefer being in a team/group where everyone has a common goal, unity and professional harmonious relationship. Afterall, no man is an island. You will always need somebody else's idea and opinion as well as share your thoughts to. Being alone does not give much of an advantage because you're losing the chance of expressing your thoughts and feelings, improving your communication skills and most importantly learning from the experiences of others where you could apply it later on.

I think there are advantages about both things. When we work in a group we are able help and inspire eachother. We have different thoughts and ideas and we get a lot of different perspectives that way, that can be very useful sometimes. When I work alone I tend to look at things from my own perspective and I might miss something that way. On the other hand when I work alone I am able to do the work the way that I prefer and I am able to make my own decisions about everything. In a group it sometimes takes a lot of time to find solutions and answers that everyone can accept.

It easier for me to work alone, because i want to be good, and in a group they can come with some bad ideas, and the majority win always , but i`m affraid that they will not work at all or just a little . I love to be in a team with dedicated people .I like when everyone it`s doing something. One gets the documentation, another makes the project, another present the project . When i`m alone, it`s a little harder but i`m satesfied because i`ve done what i thought that it`s the best .

working alone is a challenge. It is better if you get a chance to work in a group. That divides the load.

I work well when I work alone, but if I have to work with a group, I have to be the leader and it should be my ideas which should be followed. lol I almost always come up with something unique and something that wins, so why not?

I'd rather choose to work with a team but not a group, If its a team then you know each other, professional people working together can have some difficulties because we might have a lot of ideas we want to add on our project but many ideas helps us to know and make it as one. Meaning as a team we are working as one but not alone.

I prefer to work with a group actually. You see, you work in a group, so could do all things by yourself and need not take all reponsibility by yourself alone if you made something wrong. And the most point is everyone do something which he is good at, that will push the project smoothly. I work in a group let me know I am valuable and they need me. That's made me feel well. To get along well with others also could drive away the loneliness :)

I think working with group will be a better option as we can know about each other and help each other so that project can be made ready before delivery date.Working alone will have many issues and problems which cannot be solved easily.
So working in a group will be better option.

Working on a project with a group can be fun. The only problem is you may not perform the task as you would like it. When you work alone, you are responsible for the creative results. It all depends on what you want out of a project of how much you want to work alone or go with the group.

Hi mgambongF!
There are things we can do alone and there are things we just have to work in groups. There are pros and cons while working in a group. You just have to poke everybody and see that the group is working or moving ahead.
Working in groups simply mean that it's for a bigger project and more brains are needed for the output. There is division of labor. And you learn as much along the way too.

I really prefer working alone on a project because I like my own phase however I'm not good with my hands and I'm not too artistic so I really like to work with artistic people who are very capable in putting vision into reality. You just really need to find a good bunch to work with. The more diverse the better but everyone should have a good work ethic. And i prefer not to work with friends,I would even prefer working with someone i don't like as long as they do their part.

I prefer working in group to working independently in a project because when you work in group, you can divide the project into small pieces and give each member a part. So you can finish the project early and make it easier. Moreover, if you have any problems, you can ask your members for help.

If you want something done right, many times you have to do it yourself. I have had many experiences with group projects. More often than not, in these projects, I have had more than my fair share of incompetent team members.
What ultimately happens is what you described - complications.
Today I work with a dear friend who is a business owner. We are a great team and between the both of us, we really know how to get the job done right. He is the team player I've been looking for. I've wasted too much time with worthless wanna be's. They say they're going to do their part but they don't.

Well, working in a group is good if that is for a natural project. You maybe right that we can't avoid someone will not be participated.
But you think you can make it alone much better because you lessen the possibility that the project is not good due to more suggestion

I think its depend on what the job.
If its needed to many power to do it I prefer working on group because I afraid I am not capable to do it by myself.
If its needed to think and making concept I prefer to it by myself because I can concentrate much better if alone.

It's very true that someone can drag a project down, and the rest of the group with them. The plus side is that if, for whatever reasons, you are struggling within a group, there are other members to help you out.

I prefer to work alone....if I choose to a project work it with my group, maybe my ideas and there ideas are not the same...And there's a possibility that our project will not be done cause of our different ideas...

I do not like working in groups. I am lazy sometimes and will not work very well and I do not want to be responsible for part of someone else's grade. I also do not like meeting outside of class to work on things. I prefer doing things on my own and only being responsible for my presentation. We work together in our anthropology class a lot and sometimes that is useful if there is someone who is knowledgeable in it, and I have enjoyed that. But for the most part, I prefer doing my own thing.
