What would you do when you want to keep your mind relax?

Nowadays, we have a hectic lifestyle with busy schedules, deadlines, commitments at work and home. Usually, we do not have much time for ourselves to relax. In this case, we will bind to get stressed out, which may triggers nervousness, panic attacks, unnecessary worries, insomnia and a host of other health concerns. So, we must learn about ways to relax when stressed.
Some people will do meditation when they feel stress. It is an excellent way to calm the restless mind. We just need to sit in a quiet, comfortable place, close our eyes and focus on one single thought. This will help to discard all unwanted thoughts from your mind and it will make us feel at peace. The best time for us to do meditation is when we are praying, that is when we are talking with the god.

When I felt exhausted of hectic life. I will like to keep my mind relax too.
I am in my own way of doing meditation: I will lift up my head and close my eyes toward the sky during the mild day or at night. Some spiritual people told me that this way can absorb positive energy into my body from outer space.

Well it's so true that nowadays almost everyone are subject to stress because of a lot of pressure from work,family & anything and what I usually do to relax my mind is yes you are right,by praying & what usually ease my mind is that whenever I think of all the good things & a wonderful place in my imagination..a peaceful place with water flowing & with a light slow music..& yes it is indeed relaxing my mind even for for a very less time at least I was able to relax & made my mind free of anything...have a great day to you

I usually listen to soothing music while meditating or reading a book, to relax my mind. sometimes though, i go to the beach and just watch the waves as it kisses the sand. somehow the rhythm of the lapping waves soothes my nerves. i do avoid complete silence when i want my mind to relax, for then i would get deaf..silence is so deafening to me sometimes, especially when i am stress.

Hi ixho,
Thanks for your suggestions for relaxation of body and mind. In this hectic life of ours I agree with you we need to do something to relax our body and mind. Apart from the meditation you suggested which we do during our prayers there is another type of meditation I would like to suggest here.
This meditation can be termed as 'doing nothing' and gives best effects when you are little bit tired and hungry. Sit in a relax position touching your back to the wall to support your back bone take care to see that you don't touch your head. when you touch your head you are likely to sleep and in this meditation you are not supposed to sleep. close your eyes and sit down quietly remember you got to do nothing. This meditation to be performed for about ten to fifteen minutes only. Following rules of this meditation to be observed:
!) Do not go to sleep while doing the meditation
2) Do not think of anything.
3) Do not block the thoughts that come to your mind. Let them come and go as they come and don't try to follow them.
4) Do not expect anything to happen during the meditation.
Please practise this meditation and tell me how you feel.

Going in the beach to smell fresh air is the best thing I would do to relax specially my mind. Watching at the sea water, smell the fresh air, looking at the moon and the stars...already makes me relax thinking about it.

eh,for me ,just watch some interesting films or dvd ,listen to some light music ,and sometimes just take a nod ,or call some friends to play some sports outside..

Starting last Monday, my mind are already busy thinking how to pay my tuition so that I can take our exams.My head was already aching how to solve it.Until the day comes I finished taking our exam, I want to relax my head. One of the things I do to keep my mind relax is just lying while listening to my favorite musics.After that, when I fall asleep, when I woke up my mind is already relaxed.:D

i will take a bath or go to a massage place. sometimes i do not have time enough to relax my mind because of being a student i am busy preparing my assignment. sometimes i get headache. i don't have much time to have my mind relax.

when i was stress and i want to be relax ill just watch television and i will just listen music so that i will be relax ,that's why i do when i will be stress.

if i want my mind relax,
usually i'm listen music, is the best way for me too release the stress~
and other way, i'm playing game until i'm forgot what makes me stress hihi, it's also made my mind relax too and think about strategy i will use for the game

The thing I've gonna do to be relax is just having fun by playing my computer but usually i'm just opening my face book because some comment makes me fell better. Sometimes i'm just sleeping to be more relax.

When I have lots on my mind and feel quite stressed it can be challenging to get to sleep. I find in the winter time I like to take a hot water bottle to bed with me. Then I feel warm and comfortable. In the summer evenings it stays light into the evening. I am happy to take a walk along the coastline or in the countryside to help me relax and unwind. I think that a seaside view can help me feel totally calm and relaxed. I love to travel to other countries and tropical beaches are a relaxing place for me to go. I love to see white sandy beaches and look at green palm trees. I find swimming very relaxing and enjoyable. The best place to swim is a tropical sea and snorkeling around coral is a lovely thing for me to do. I think watching a sunset is a wonderful activity. I like to use essential oils and massage to relax sometimes. Lavender oil is a lovely one to use in a bath I think. In my bungalow I have a shower and I miss my bath that I had in my previous house.

I think the main idea is to stop thinking of the things that make you stress, as you say some people do this by meditating.
I like to watch my favorite TV shows or read a good book or even daydream about the things that I would like to have one day.
When I go to bed I listen to my breathing and just concentrate on my breathing and before I know it I'm asleep and wake up the next morning afresh.
If I have a problem that is weighing heavily on my mind I turn to prayer, as some would say, I hand my problem over to God and once I have done that I immediately feel lighter of heart.
As you say, one needs to unload the burden often or we will become burnt out emotionally as well as physically.

I never knew the word STRESS until today. My time has been divided between work in the office, taking care of my 6 year old son, studying in preparation of my MBA program, doing household chores and the likes. I often experience headaches and worst migraine. Then realized that i have to relax not ony my body but my mind. What do is not to worry too much, pray and talk to God about anything. You have to be positive all the time too.....
