Isn't she a bit psychotic?

I work with this young woman who cannot get along with anyone for a reasonable length of time. Every time a new employee comes she becomes their new best friend until the get to know her then no one wants to be her friend any more. This young lady tends to be ultra critical and always negative. Nothing is ever good enough for her. You never know what will send her off into a sulk. Sometimes its a little joke not necessarily directed at her. it's like she needs to find something to be critical or upset about so often she looks for the slightest excuses to get on the offensive. She could be your friend now and in 1/2 hour time she has stopped talking to you and you have no idea why. She is a real trip.

We talk to her but no one really wants to. Its like talking to a brick wall. It's like she's always right and everyone else is wrong, simple as that.

shes a pessimistic and sarcastic person. mybe thats she was brought up by her parents at home. shes insecure and emotionally unstable. she might have this paranoid feeling that ppl are conspiring against her. i think shes miserable and pathetic.

Well I'll have to agree about her being paranoid and pessimistic. i have definitely found that to be true. Sometimes there is just no explaining her attitude.

She definitely has something going on with her mind. I think she's the person who has some hang ups that she just couldn't resolve and then they just take it out on another person. When she's friendly, maybe she's trying to get rid of her bad attitude, but she couldn't get rid of it easily because of her hang ups so she just suddenly reverts back to her old mean self. I don't know her personally but I somehow I can understand her situation. YOu maybe correct in saying she's just a little psychotic.

Well psychotic is the word that works for me because here very nature seem to put her on another plain from normal folks.
