I had a shoulder surgery in my left arm last February (I´m a leftie) and my sister had shoulder surgery in her right shoulder last year (she uses the mouse with her right hand). I think too much computer is absolutly unhealthy. I became so aware of that (although doctors are not warning people of this) that as I´m a computer addict, I created a new proyect to do something else every day. I´m doing a vegetable garden in raised beds and I´m also collecting all odds and ends for a compost pile. I walk more and stay less time here.

I have no pain in my arm. But I have a back pain. And it rises while I am doing work in front of my computer for a long time........

I also have that problem so I have also learned to use my left hand as the pain was becoming considerable. Still I should limit the amount of time I'm on the computer or I will pay for it dearly.

This usually happens if you're not doing the proper body position when using a computer. If pain comes from the right hand which you usually use for the mouse control, there might be a problem with your elevation. The elevation of your computer to the elevation of your seat. If the computer is a little higher to the elevation of your body then your arms will definitely hurt. If the computer is too low, your hand will also hurt. Check also the positioning of you mouse, it should be just beside the computer, not too far and no too close. Try to correct this as soon as possible 'coz once neglected it will do more damage in the future.

I feel slight pain on my left fingers when typing especially when hitting the Ctrl + C or any shortcut keys on the keyboard. I don't know what it is but I have a feeling it has to do with the nerves. Maybe we should take a rest sometimes from using computers.
