America is America, and Babylon, is Babylon. I have no reason to assume that Babylon in the Bible is current day America. As for African Americans are really the lost tribe of Israel, I see no evidence of this. I'd be curious to see what his theory was. The chosen people of Israel have hundreds of promises about this. Today's current Jewish people, should show evidence of those promises being kept. They do. If African Americans in the US are really Israelis, then they should show the same promises. They do not.

There is not one single race of people on this planet that has not been slaves. Not one. Further, you are ignoring the other prophecies in the Bible that specifically say that the Jewish people will remain a uniquely identifiable race of people, and that they will be called back to their historic home land. The people we know as Jews have lived up to that 2000 year old prophecy. They were always known as Jews, accepted their Jewish history, and Jews from all over the planet have all immigrated back to that land. The African Americans of the US, have neither considered themselves Israelites, nor have they identified with the Jews, and nor have they immigrated to Israel, in great or small numbers. Further, if African Americans are Israelites, then so are other Africans that went to Europe or Latin America. Yet none of those Africans have fulfilled either prophecy. Finally, I do not understand your point about hip hop, rock and roll, or our president. None of them are referred to in the Bible. None are signs of anything. The only connection America has with Babylon is that we might be helping to rebuild it, just as the Bible foretells that Babylon will rise again. I believe this could be a literal rebuilding of Babylon. Revelations 16 and 17, indicate that Babylon could be rebuilt. Some claim that is figurative, but I believe it could be literal. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/23/science/23babylon.html The world monument fund, and the US government, is currently funding rebuilding efforts. By the way, notice that the problem right now is swampy land, just as the prophecy in Isaiah 14:23 predicted.

I have mixed feelings with regards to the Bible but I'm a flexible type of person when it comes to beliefs, I choose what I want to believe in and at the same time respect other people's thoughts on their own beliefs. Just as long as we don't hurt each other physically or it doesn't affect the mentality of the person, then he/she can believe in what they want; however, I don't want them to push their beliefs on me.
