Many christian say that Jesus will return back to the earth. He is coming back to save us. We must be ready, so that he can take us. The Second Coming of Christ or Parousia is the return of Jesus Christ from Heaven to Earth, as expected in most Christian eschatology.
Traditional Muslims believe that Jesus will return at a time close to the end of the world.
What do you think about it? Is it true?

No. Jesus lived 2,000 years ago. He was horribly murdered and that was the end of his story. He was not a supernatural being and there will be no Second Coming.
Obviously I don't expect Christians to agree with that statement. But whether you believe in the divinity of Jesus or not, did it ever occur to you that believing in the Second Coming can be a potentially harmful belief in itself? It's like you're waiting for someone else to come and sort out the world's problems when the human race is actually quite capable of doing the job ourselves if we apply ourselves intelligently. Whether there's a God or not, it's our responsibilty to make this world the best place it can be.

"First of all , explain to me where in my response to you did i ever mention my religion or quote anything from the bible?"
OK:
"were you somehow transported 2000 years ago and were there when he was crucified and subsequently resurrected?"
"i do not throw whatever i feel like throwing out there with the thought that maybe someone will believe i'm onto something"
Me neither, except in the field of politics. When someone - like for instance the OP - asks for my opinion, I will give them my honest opinion. That is the purpose of a discussion forum. I also don't tend to get upset when people disagree with me.
I like your profile pic, by the way - kittens are cute. Of should I say that in my opinion kittens are cute?

Citizen-Stuart: You as with islander7 make matter of fact statements you have no way of proving otherwise ("He was not a supernatural being and there will be no second coming.") You don't say this is "your" opinion or this is what "you" believe.and so the obvious question to you both is,do you have any real facts to back up your statements? can you prove He will not return, were you somehow transported 2000 years ago and were there when he was crucified and subsequently resurrected? it would be one thing if you stated your opinion as just that, but you somehow feel the need to state your opinion as "fact" Sorry, but in the long run, you will never be able to prove your statements and mostly you will not succeed in taking away a belief that millions of people hold dear to their hearts. One more thing, you say that the "human race is quite actually quite capable of doing the job ourselves".oh really?, History itself has proven that although man may be capable of doing many great things, it has also proven waht a total mess man can and has made of this world. Just take a good hard look around you to see this won't end any time soon and intelliegence alone won't fix it.

First of all , explain to me where in my response to you did i ever mention my religion or quote anything from the bible?and there lies the difference between you and i.you see, i don't care if you don't believe, nor would i "attempt" to make anyone question their own beliefs by statements such as you have made. i don't feel the need , nor am i obligated to prove anything to you, especially due to the fact that i do not throw whatever i feel like throwing out there with the thought that maybe someone will believe i'm onto something. this may be your "opinion" but you did not state it like that. you made a flat out statement as if it were a fact, only you were privvy to. "he was not" "There will be no" is not an opinion no matter how you feel you don't have to preface it. . Therefore, when anyone makes statements like this , the natural inclination for anyone reading it, would be to ask, what i asked you in the first place. where is "your" proof? if you don't want to answer these types of questions i would suggest you don't make your statements sound as if you had some inside information.

Definitely true. I'm a christian and I believe what the Bible says. And the second coming of Jesus Christ was stated and its so near for all the signs were already happen. This is the Judgment Day where people divided into two, the bad and good. He thrown bad into hell and bring the good to heaven. So we must prepare now while there's still time because Christ save only to those who follows God's commandment.

islander: Read the end time prophecies in the Bible and discover how many of them are coming to pass. Listen to the preachers who can explain end time events to you. Be willing to open you mind. You might learn something.

Jesus will return in the air to get (Rapture) His bride (which is the church of Jesus Christ), so she can escape the wrath of God during the Tribulation period. Seven years after the Rapture, Jesus will return to earth to set up His 1000 year reign. So, when a multitude of people disappear from off the earth, it won't be because an alien force from some distant planet and galaxy has spirited them away, it will have been the Rapture. If you're not taken, you need to find out what you must do to be saved and do it even in the face of much persecution.

Jesus is in heaven and that is where he will stay. He will turn his attention to the earth and remove wicked ones. He doesn't have to be on earth to do that. So we need to fill our lives with good thoughts, words and actions so that he will spare us when he acts.

Hi lxho99, Although this is the belief of the Christian church, it seems that few Christians, except for the fundamentalists, claim to believe it today. I feel that even those would be shocked if it actually happened some day. I think we can be sure that it isn't going to happen even though it says so in the Bible. The teachings of Christ have been changed so much, as well as other parts of the Bible that we have to ponder everything we read there very carefully to see if it makes sense or was changed to suit other teachings of the church. Yes some Christians believe that Jesus will return just as others have for nearly two thousand years but this is not going to happen Blessings.

It will be hard to find Jesus if he resurfaced again because I know people named Jesus. I think it will only be true to a person when he/she is satisfied with the reason.

Definitely Jesus will not return as JESUS. But he may come in another form like a humanitarian social worker or public welfare servant. We know that Jesus is also a kind of a human during his days. Like wise, a very good human who serve for his environment will be a Jesus to this world...!

I agree and believe that Jesus will back to the earth one day. I hunger for his return and welcome. I believe that he can perform great justice at that time. Every kind-hearted human would be treated fairly well and the world will become a better place for living.

To let you understand this concept I will draw an analogy. Jesus often said. "And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: "he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." John 6:35.
The whole humanity living in this world is as bread and this world is the oven. We humans are the elements of that bread. During our sojourn on earth we are baked in suffering.
At the end of the age the bread is baked and ready, and at that time a brown crust is formed to protect is from burning. The baker knows that the bread is now ready. He draws the bread out from the oven.
Christ is that crust, who would come at the end of the age to save the humanity from burning.

Yes, it's true as far as i know Jesus will return back to earth for us. Base on the bible it said that Jesus will be back here but it's not said when but i think as soon as possible.
