I have thought since day one texting or talking on the phone while driving is just as dangerous as drunk driving. Sure you might not get into a accident or kill anyone for a bit but who knows what could happen when you look down to type a message then look up to see your about to hit a kid or something. I'm glad governments all over the world are starting to ban this practice because I don't want me or my family killed or a text or phone call.

I think it is very irresponsible for the one who is texting while driving to do such a thing!
He has no concern to those who are on the road and his passengers as well. There are many possible accidents that could happen when he is doing another thing while driving. A driver must have his full attention on the road always while driving.

It is dangerous to send SMS when you are driving. It is not only harmful for yourself, but the innocent people. Being careful won't be wrong, as nobody can afford the life. Don't take a risk for yourself and others.

Hi there:
People should text and drive, it maximizes time in this time-starved pace of life. Driving at 120 km/hour and texting in 50 words per minute is a good practice at multitasking.
That is, if one has two sets of hands and two sets of eyes: (one for driving and one for texting). I think, only Siamese twins can do that, right?

3 words - Doom for Hell! I just wonder how can one text while driving? As if the text can be automatically typed and send out using verbal instruction. If it is texting while waiting for the traffic light to change, I think it is fine. At least the driver attention is on the road when he is not texting.

the least responsibility belongs to the those who never take driving serious and often wanna break traffic laws ,such people just selfish make themselves feel convinient.they do everything they feel okay, ignoring the possible consequences of their stupid behaviors, you know, texting calling when driving; fatigue driving;or drunk driving, even some like racing on the road.

It is a very dangerous action. Texting will make a person move their eyes from the road. While it is possible to type in the older phones without looking at it, it is almost impossible with the iphone type of keyboard. In my country, it is illegal to drive and text. This is one law that I agree with.

I absolutely HATE it!!!
It's just a matter of time when we'll see people with wash basins and clothes lines doing their laundry in the car.
Texting and driving is very stupid and irresponsible.

No it si dangerous!I think people should be careful when they driving and not all the time having hands on mobile phone to write a message or mail or even answer and talk on the phone!!I think is not right...it is better not practising these kind of things when you drive especially.

It's really risky texting while driving not only for the driver but also for other people whose lives he will endanger.

Texting and driving is just asking for trouble, as it would cause accidents as you can't text and drive and keep your mind on the road while texting. I wouldn't do it that is for sure. I don't text anyway, but if I did, I sure wouldn't do it while driving. There have been those that have, and were just asking for it. I don't understand why people can't just wait until they get where they are going, stop, and then text as that is the best way. Take care, and have a very good day.

Rish, endangerment and it can just wait. About 1 1/2 months ago a very young plastic surgeon was tweeting while driving, which caused him his life.
What on earth was so important that he had to tweet and it just could not wait a few more minutes. He unfortunately killed himself, worst would have been to have survived and perhaps killed an innocent victim.

I am good at texting while looking somewhere else, so I do it more often while I am riding my bike, I press keys with my left hand and with my right hand, I ride my bike. And I like being like this because no one in my social circle can text while looking somewhere else =D
