Van Gogh greater than God?

Recently a believer, Jewish in this particular case, told me they believed that God was an artist in creating the world but that Van Gogh was a better artist than God. This seems absurd to me, surely anyone that has walked in the woods and seen the beauty of nature would know that the works of man are but a pale imitation of the glory of God's work, what say you?

Wow, just like Lucifer did. Van Gogh should have acknowledge that God is the giver of all, even talents. It's a scary thing to say. Words can never describe how wonderful and perfect God's creations are, especially before man sinned.

Van Gogh was a painter and a great one at that but for anyone to say he was a better artist than God is ridiculous. No artist, no matter how good he or she is or was, could ever create the landscape God created when he made this earth. i'd like to see "any" artist paint the stars so luminous and bright it is bresthtaking, or the sky, whether day or night, blue or gray , capture the colors and movement so wonderfully majestic. i could go on and on, but the point is that statement belongs in the category of the absurd.

I am going to piss off a lot of art aficionados by saying this but I think Van Gogh sucks. My 12 year old has more art skills than he has. The only thing I like is starry night and lets face it my 12 year old could probably paint that better too (as it looks as if it was painted by a kid). I have seen better art work at street fairs and county fairs. The only thing you are buying is his name which honestly if it wasn't an "in thing" people would admit it sucks.

Well I've conducted some thorough and highly discerning research.
It turns out Michael Jackson is 9 times as popular as Jesus. Who knew?
*you know the source, it's the one every newspaper turns to when they don't have any budget left to do any actual journalism.
PS. Maybe it's just a generational thing, but Jesus is 7 times more popular than his Dad.
