Do you think that computers could one day....

become so advanced that the human race would have to depend on them and in turn cause all sorts of problems for us? These problems would include computers turning against us, computers controlling our minds, or have us become computerized slaves. It's also possible that computers could join together to form one supercomputer, with everything from intelligence to strength. I know it's stuff from science fiction, but won't that cause the total annihilation of the human race? Any thoughts on this?
