What does the Bible say about love?

St. Paul wrote to the Corinthians: "I may be able to speak the languages of human beings and even of angels, but if I have no love, my speech is no more than a noisy gong or a clanging bell.
I may have the gift of inspired preaching; I may have all knowledge and understand all secrets; I may have all the faith needed to move mountains- but if I have no love, I am nothing.
i may give away everything I have, and even give up my body to be burned- but if I have no love, this does me no good.
Love is patient and kind;
it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish o irritable; love dies not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail.
Love is eternal."
Do you believe in love? Are you in love?

Love is certainly real. This passage doesn't necessarily speak about "being in love" as in loving a spouse, or boyfriend/girlfriend...although that type of relationship fits into love as well. Paul does not refer to a feeling, but to a relationship with God the creator. God is love, and Christianity is about a relationship with God (love) which enable God (the Holy Spirit) to abide in us. A besic truth is that what is in us come out...in some way. If hatred is in your heart, then that hatred will come in some way, even you are good at hiding it. If we have God in us, who is love, then love will come out. The end of the passage you gave shows us ways love surfaces...faith, hope, patience, long suffering, not jealous (there is a type of righteous jealousy and anger, but that's for another discussion) or conceited. These qualities roll over into all our relationships...business partners, marriage, friends, siblings, even with our enemies. We can follow all the laws and rules to be a good, christian person...but it's love that propels us forward into true Godly living.

The Bible also says that who doesn't got love, doesn't know God, because God is love (1.John4:8) So love is very important. Love also is able to resolve many problems. Nobody is able to fight against it.

I think when you really love someone, any pain they suffer hurts you as much (or more) than if it happened to you. Many people never feel this sort of love, or they feel it for their children only and do not understand that this sort of love can be felt for a partner, a friend, or even all of your fellow humans (or even animals, for that matter.)
It is hard to know if you are really feeling this sort of love, sometimes. But I do believe that it exists.
